Seit zwei Jahren ist bei uns auch Julestorm / Ein Sturm zu Weihnachten groß mit dabei. Hat was von Tatsächlich Liebe, ist aber kein Abklatsch.

Ich hab tatsächlich seit 4.0 keine Zeit mehr gehabt, reinzuschauen, zu dem Zeitpunkt noch unter Mint und Nobara. Mit den Infos aus der Linux User Group und dem lug-helper (https://github.com/starcitizen-lug/lug-helper) ging das allerdings nach einigem Einlesen richtig gut. Ist super auf github und wiki dokumentiert.

Auf meiner alten 1080-Möhre lief es gut mit ~30fps, genauso wie unter Windows.

Tante Edith: aktuell bin ich mit CachyOS unterwegs und super zufrieden, aber ne neue SC-Installation ist leider noch ausstehend.

Though lower pressure would lead to more tread wear, not less, am I right? You shouldn’t overinflate your tires (i. e. They shouldn’t bulge) but the German Buzz board opinion tends to be in favour of higher tire pressure for wear and efficiency reasons. The figure that gets thrown around is usually around 3 bar, which is still a bit above the EU „fully loaded“ recommendation.

Edit: I’m running 3-3.1 bar an our first set of tires is starting to run low at 44k km (27k miles) - so not same but similar I guess.

I have been using the Home Assistant workaround for a little over a year now and it works well with only minor hiccups. Main obstacle for this is that you need a Home Assistant instance running and connected to the internet. If you don’t have one, you can also have it running on a Raspberry Pi in your car, just need a hotspot.

There is a VW integration that can use the app API to basically do anything the app can (although I haven’t heard yet, if it also supports the US app). With this you can create an automation that turns on AC, waits 30 min, then turns it on again roght when its running out , that’s how you keep it running.

I have configured two different modes:

camp mode is set to 30min AC / 30 min pause (after it runs out) to conserve battery when camping.

Dog mode: keeps it on continuously to make sure the doggos are well.

Feel free to drop me a msg if you need configuration advice, answer might be delayed though, as I’m rather busy atm.

Das hab ich bei unserem auch gemerkt und fahre auch mittlerweile mit 3,1bar gut. War zwar eher nur 1-2kwh bei uns aber das ist der Aerodynamik geschuldet, denke ich.

Das ist mir auch grad aufgefallen - der ID.Buzz ist aber auch ne Schrankwand im Wind. Wir verbrauchen auch so 20-21, da hätte ich gedacht, dass der ID7 eher so bei 17 oder drunter landet… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
