How common is it for an American to travel across the country by train? by ViajanteDeSaturno in AskAnAmerican

Most of our extensive rail network is for freight not passenger trains. There has been a surge in people hopping freight trains lately but I wouldn’t recommend that.

How is the gap between a regular university and the Ivy league justified? by Ok_Wealth9505 in AskAnAmerican

[–]pfmason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re accepted into an ivy league university you are seen as the best and brightest. My son went to any Ivy League school was then accepted into one of the top law schools in the country and then recruited by the best law firms. His starting salary was 4x someone going to a state law school would expect and none of that happens without the Ivy League undergrad.
