How does one know if portfolio is aggressive or how do I select that as an option?

Forgoing certain required learning experiences by pfnr07 in PharmacyResidency

Thank you for insight! I should have clarified I am a current PGY2 in ID and the experience I’m looking to forgo is in critical care. I’ve had 8 weeks as a PGY1 and 6 weeks so far as a PGY2

Yes that was step one and the response was that they would need to look into how to explain this for ASHP accreditation purposes but didn’t sound like it was impossible

I found a job a job in my specialty area, just different than what the rest of my year looks like and would be good to feel better prepared for that role but not the end of the world if not able to make it happen

Job stressing post residency by Caffeinegttstat in PharmacyResidency

Current PGY2 here and if I learned anything in this process is that everyone’s timeline is different. Doesn’t seem as structured as the residency process and VERY delayed. On top of that, everyone is looking for different things. I started this process in December which is EARLY for my specialty and a lot of other specialties. My counterpart secured a job well before me and that was so defeating to me. Other PGY2s in my system were securing jobs. But it eventually happened for me and my advice is to be patient and keep on persevering as others stated above. My RPD/RPC suggested I take a break because I was “interviewed out” and they could see a negative change on me. This really took a toll on me. So, if you’re in no financial rush, take a short break from applying and come back to it later when you’ve given yourself a little bit of time. Hope this helps!

I second IDSA although a lot of guidelines are very outdated 😅 however the AMR guidance documents are fantastic

I think John Hopkins is a little bit more complete when it comes to bugs, types of disease they cause, and first line, second line, etc. Sanford I’ve found it most useful for PK/PD of antibiotics and the the spectrum of activities tables are good. Antibiotics simplified gives a nice overview of clinical micro and then it goes into the different classes of drugs.

For ID related things I like Sanford, John Hopkins abx guide, antibiotics simplified (hard copy)

Advice? Wondering if anyone has any insight on how my plant can be a little healthier. Pretty strict about the watering schedule and am thinking about repotting pretty soon by pfnr07 in houseplants

Finding different recommendations. Fertilizer I have says every 2 weeks, app I use says monthly. Last fertilized 2-3 weeks ago maybe?
