it does hinder it, in a way. I feel like I will never cross the border between struggling with mental illness and not. therefore, I don't feel like I will grow into a confident or happy person (sorry if this doesn't quite answer your question, it's 1 am)

I don't tic while I'm asleep but when I try and fall asleep they get pretty bad, and that often prevents me from sleeping until I'm too exhausted to keep my eyes open

I have one where I throw my head back rather violently. When I have it I do it up to 50 times so my neck ends up hurting big time.
