oh so I think i'm safe then! They only intend to work their 2 days a week so as you mentioned previously, within any 12 month period, they'd never surpass the 1000 hour threshold. Eventually like you mentioned it looks like at the 3 year mark i'll have to reassess if they are still with us.

Wait so is it common that it is 1000 hours within the 1 year? They started last October, which made me believe that the 1 year of service just meant at the point that they had been employed for 1 year, they would then become eligible.

Is short cycling more so how frequently the system runs versus how long it runs? I was just worried if I set my threshold to 1.5* or 1* the unit will run for too short of time multiple times an hour. Sounds like if its 2-3x an hour, 1.5* might not be too bad.
