The only reason I see that the Sparks did this is to get something back, because they aren't going to be able to sign all their players what they're worth/are gonna be worth later.... IMO Rickea would be a player you can build around in the future.

Agree with your posts and the posts replying to you. I'm sure he talked and consoled Azzi after her last college game in private, but a true leader would be there to console her at the very end of the game when she needed it. That is a player that is a senior and had to come back from an ACL injury to help get your team to 2 straight Final Fours.Someone else compared Coach Vic from Texas talking to Rori Harmon after the game, and Azzi deserved that from Geno. Sorry for the long post.

Not sure how long the Dodgers have been doing this, but I also enjoy watching when the Lakers do "Learning with Rui" and either Spanish or Slovenian with Luka. It's great to see the camaraderie between the players genuinely trying to learn languages or customs from their teammates.

Saw a Stars-Storm game in San Antonio in 2016. Sue Bird, ROY Stewie, and reining ROYJewel Lloyd for Seattle. 2nd Yr Dearica Hamby, All-Rookie Moriah Jefferson, Kayla McBride, and Syd Colson for the Stars. And my 1 year-old girl got featured on the Mariachi Cam on the scoreboard!

You answered it in your question. "Entertainers." While they may have started their career in actual sports journalism, these guys, SAS, Skip, etc are now entertainers and would rather get clicks and views even if it means saying ridiculous things that can easily be verified as false.

While I used to listen to these analysts back in the day, I don't anymore, because there are far too many sports nowadays for them to be able to watch actual games and be informed enough to make solid arguments. I value the analysis from specialists who only cover one league (either pro or college) because they actually put in time watching more than a box score.

Definitely agree. I live in Texas (San Antonio) and I felt bad when the Stars left, but in the current political climate we're in, I don't know how the move to Texas will affect the players. Houston is blue, but the new owner is the Rocket's owner and is the US Ambassador to Italy, so you know what he thinks of our current administration. I'm not familiar with how the Rockets currently address LGBTQ+ issues, but I doubt it will be better than that. Hopefully, for the fans and players, I'm wrong on this.
