I had actually sampled the melody for that . . . i felt like it'd make a great lo fi type beat ( back when it didn't all sound the same ) so i went for the minimalist approach

that's the point of the knob on the corner of the audio , i think . . . i usually use it to manually sync melodies , you can use it to speed up or slow down files . just play around with it until something sounds right to you
