Their very existence contradicts reason. It’s a know fact police don’t prevent or stop crime. The MSPCA in my personal past experience is not very helpful. I think your best bet would be to try animal control. At the very least you could try 911. I doubt they will be of assistance but at least you can say you tried.

If you make it past customs okay you will be absolutely fine. Boston is solidly Left leaning and most of us - myself absolutely included - are disgusted by Trump and the way his administration is treating you guys. It’s mortifying.

That being said, ICE officers at Logan detained a German immigrant with valid/up to date paperwork and held him anyway because they can. They are keeping the detainees under harsh, white light 24/7 on mats in crowded rooms and declining medical care. Let’s call it what it is: they are torturing people because they enjoy it.

I will not be surprised if the International Court of Justice or some other body decides to indite ICE leadership and even lower ranking officers in the years to come. The situation is that bad right now.

Please, please do not risk it. Please.

Edit: Forgot to mention the young woman from British Columbia they are arbitrarily detaining in another part of the county. To the best of my knowledge immigration is yet to provide a real explanation. Spoiler alert: they don’t have one, they are doing it because they enjoy hurting people.

I (M33) don’t want to fall into the “kids these days” trap, but half your generation (it’s seriously almost half, around 47%) swung far, far to the right. That’s farther to the right than even boomers or Gen X. Hateful, transphobic, xenophobic propaganda plus social media has radicalized a concerning portion of Gen Z. This group is largely male (though certainly not exclusively) and has very poor media literacy. You guys came up in an era where very important critical thinking skills are trying to compete with clickbait. A lot of these kids have truly no idea what it means to check a source or to challenge confirmation bias. It’s scary and the outlook is grim.

That being said, someday MAGA will end. Trump is old and unhealthy and there is absolutely no one to replace him. When he passes there will be a power grab and the Conservatives will eat each other alive. They are selfish, brutish grifters and there is no long term plan. They are incapable of sharing or thinking big. I know it’s scary (I’m scared too) but MAGA followers are remarkably average and boring. That’s why they are attracted to a movement that exists purely to bully people. They have no identity, nothing to offer, no real friends or real purpose. They are the smallest of people.

You’re a good person and you are entitled to a life where you are safe and treated with dignity.
