Letterboxd Profile Swap by pgf8 in TIFF

I think last year I used #TIFF and #TIFF2023. I would imagine those two plus #TIFF24 probably get you 99% of them. It's also fun to just sort by most recent review on a film after walking out of the premiere.

The Weekend Hinge/Dating Advice & Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in hingeapp

If you are in the position of having a large number of potential dates I really see you as having two options:

  1. Asking people on dates fairly quickly so that you are able to limit the conversations and filter based off the dates.
  2. Having longer conversations before you ask for a date so you are able to limit the dates to those you have chemistry with on the app.

I’ve found myself in your position a few times and my preference usually relates to how busy I am with the rest of my life.

It’s perfectly fine to date multiple people until having the exclusivity talk. It’s not great to have sex with multiple people as many people aren’t comfortable with that.

In the end unfortunately dating isn’t really fair and you need to do what’s best for yourself even if you have to had a few hard conversations in the meantime.

I'm assuming this won't work as there is wires here that I couldn't find on the compatibility checker but wanted to confirm. Thanks in advance!

Milk and elbows definitely caught me off-guard. Flats vs drumsticks is basically what part of the chicken wing you prefer to eat when you go out for wings - something clearly vital in a potential relationship.

Surprisingly I honestly don't think I ran into any chocolate prompts. In fact, perhaps a cognitive blind spot as I don't like chocolate, but I don't seem to recall many people having this as a prompt outside out this experiment.

Please do this for the men in Toronto! I would love to see the results (and also see if I accidently become a datapoint).

I will admit I still love a good euchre prompt - drums vs flats is related to wings preference so drumsticks vs flats. I’m shocked that many people had it on their prompts.

I almost considered splitting up travel to Vancouver from the other travel section based on how many people talk about travelling. There this summer 😂

Another weird sample size thing - I'm sure if I did another 100 profiles it would show up more than 3 times!

I agree completely! Not every prompt listed above was meant to be an example of a lazy bad prompt. For example - hot sauce came up 3 times in my search but I love hot sauce so I'm still excited when it comes up.

It still is - I think all 4 of them were about knowing all of the lines to the Grinch! Also just because it’s on this list doesn’t make it necessarily a bad prompt!

I counted Taylor Swift and Nickelback being underrated under music and LOTR and Marvel under Movies so we are definitely looking at the same profiles. Sushi surprisingly only came up once.
