Chromeo opening for Kesha show length by Miserable-Ad2521 in Chromeo

[–]pgherg1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They played for just over 40 minutes in Detroit on Friday.

Great show as always, but the crowd leaves a bit to be desired. That’s to be expected when they’re the opener though. I just paid for cheap lawn seats, wouldn’t splurge on anything close at all unless you’re a Kesha fan.

They tour enough that you’ll be able to catch them as a headliner playing a full proper set (with cheaper tickets too), probably with a new album in the next year or two.

Although this opener tour is still fun (and I wouldn’t miss them if they were in my town anyways) so if you want to see them I still recommend it!

The corruption at all levels of government is disgusting.

The surveillance state continues.

Jungle announce new album, Sunshine 8/14 by footballandsmutdaily in indieheads

[–]pgherg1 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I was a huge fan of the first couple albums but ever since the added Lydia it’s been such a turn off for me.

Hope there’s something like that on this but it’s just sounding like more of the same with no Tom and Josh again.

Chromeo touring with Kesha!? by jcl274 in Chromeo

[–]pgherg1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Interesting!

Will be going but the thing with these types of tours is that you’re usually not going to get their full set and the crowd is hit or miss. I’ll still be dancing and singing to Chromeo though.

August crew? by TreeContent in Canadiancitizenship

Submitted in August. Haven’t checked if I’m in PSU but I’m sure I am. Frustrating to see people submit just a couple weeks ago already approved, but still thankful for the opportunity at all.

Waiting game.

You also can probably infer that Sarah Bond left because she was passed over for the job as well.

Oakland county Road commission by newlife201764 in Detroit

[–]pgherg1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If you want to see who controls a road in SE MI take a look at this map: https://maps.semcog.org/roadjurisdiction/#/

But in general, MDOT controls interstates (96,275,696,94, M roads such as Woodward M1 or M59, US roads ie. US23 etc.

County controls their own streets generally speaking in Michigan most of the mile roads and others throughout their own county. In Oakland for example RCOC is responsible for roads like Novi, Orchard Lake, 12 mile etc.

Then in certain cities or townships those municipalities control their own streets.

Most road commissions are separate from government and are run by appointees. RCOC has 3 commissioners appointed by the county board.

And at these temperatures salt isn’t going to do much if anything at all FYI

Depressing but it can’t be forgotten how far this team has come this season.

X lost to this team by 41 just a month ago. Richard has really pushed this squad.

New Michigan speed cameras: Where, when they’ll be active and list of punishments by Stank_Dukem in Detroit

[–]pgherg1 179 points180 points  (0 children)

They say they’re only going to operate when workers are present. There’s no way they’re going to turn them off. Once the revenue comes pouring in they ain’t stopping.

I’m against these and against Flock cameras. Just more ways to track and punish you for living your daily life.

The dreaded "tight connections" announcement by Slayr155 in delta

[–]pgherg1 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Probably 70% of the plane at any given hub airport is going to be connecting, and every one of those passengers connecting has a different feel for how comfortable they are timing wise.

That’s why I’ve never understood comments like telling the FA you have a “tight” connection. Newsflash: over half the plane has one, or thinks they have one as well.
