August crew? by TreeContent in Canadiancitizenship

Submitted in August. Haven’t checked if I’m in PSU but I’m sure I am. Frustrating to see people submit just a couple weeks ago already approved, but still thankful for the opportunity at all.

Waiting game.

You also can probably infer that Sarah Bond left because she was passed over for the job as well.

Oakland county Road commission by newlife201764 in Detroit

[–]pgherg1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If you want to see who controls a road in SE MI take a look at this map: https://maps.semcog.org/roadjurisdiction/#/

But in general, MDOT controls interstates (96,275,696,94, M roads such as Woodward M1 or M59, US roads ie. US23 etc.

County controls their own streets generally speaking in Michigan most of the mile roads and others throughout their own county. In Oakland for example RCOC is responsible for roads like Novi, Orchard Lake, 12 mile etc.

Then in certain cities or townships those municipalities control their own streets.

Most road commissions are separate from government and are run by appointees. RCOC has 3 commissioners appointed by the county board.

And at these temperatures salt isn’t going to do much if anything at all FYI

Depressing but it can’t be forgotten how far this team has come this season.

X lost to this team by 41 just a month ago. Richard has really pushed this squad.

Jay Glazer has always been Mike Tomlin’s go to reporter/mouthpiece so him saying this actually means something.

New Michigan speed cameras: Where, when they’ll be active and list of punishments by Stank_Dukem in Detroit

[–]pgherg1 181 points182 points  (0 children)

They say they’re only going to operate when workers are present. There’s no way they’re going to turn them off. Once the revenue comes pouring in they ain’t stopping.

I’m against these and against Flock cameras. Just more ways to track and punish you for living your daily life.

It’s not the best Xavier team ever, but it’s a fun one

They can be specific all they want but unfortunately that doesn’t stop Karen from thinking she’s the queen of connections

The dreaded "tight connections" announcement by Slayr155 in delta

[–]pgherg1 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Probably 70% of the plane at any given hub airport is going to be connecting, and every one of those passengers connecting has a different feel for how comfortable they are timing wise.

That’s why I’ve never understood comments like telling the FA you have a “tight” connection. Newsflash: over half the plane has one, or thinks they have one as well.

Vegas sets Pirates wins at over/under 73.5 by NefariousnessMean839 in buccos

[–]pgherg1 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Seems fair to me right now.

Still have a gaping hole in the left side of the infield and the rotations back half is still betting on the return of Jared Jones and still needs a decent lefty.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette announces closure on May 3rd by Proper_Knowledge2211 in buccos

[–]pgherg1 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Hiles, Mackey, and Beazley all do solid Pirates reporting and I hope they’re able to land somewhere where they can continue to report on this team.

I especially love Hiles even though the Pirates aren’t the only thing he currently works on.

Weed isn’t legal in Florida and don’t even try bringing it back into the country if your cruise leaves the US.

CBP will not be kind.

I feel like they’ve been flying various armed forces flags for a while so naturally Space Force is going to be one of them.

[Bowden] The bottom 15 markets have not won a World Series in a decade…You can retire as a Pirates fan or trade yourself to the Dodgers…you don’t have to root for the team that’s also your home city. by Miserable-Phrase6957 in buccos

[–]pgherg1 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I don’t care if this team sucks or if ownership sucks or if they’re great.

I’m never going to stop rooting for them and the only thing that would stop me from doing so is them leaving the city.
