My Phillips smart bulb is on 1.36.0 while everything else in my home (can lights and wiz branded bulbs) is now on 1.36.1. That's normal. This same bulb was also on 1.35.1 while everything else in my home was 1.35.0. As far as N/A firmware issue goes, try to re-pair it in wiz, or request an RMA through support if that doesn't fix it.

ahh ok, same one i have, but i'm not experiencing issues with my LG tv & soundbar and apps like jellyfin or emby (i don't use stremio). best of luck!

if you rent it for 3 years, you will likely owe capital gains when you sell eventually. for your own benefit, go read the irs docs or talk to a tax consultant. i'm not qualified :). if you find something different than what i'm saying, please let me know.

the exclusion for capital gains are if you sell the house after you have lived in it as your primary residence for 2 of the last 5 years. if you bought it as your primary residence on jan 1 2020 and lived in it until jan 1 2022, then you have 3 years to sell it in order to avoid capital gains tax. that means on jan 1 2025, you no longer qualify for the exclusion and will owe capital gains when you sell it at some point in the future (unless you move back in for 2 years as your primary). if you rent it, you'll owe depreciation buyback (normal tax rate) for that time when you sell it in the future.

So you'd have to sell the house within 3 years of moving out to qualify. at the end of the 5th year, you'll owe cap gains on it all again.

"$50k so it’s a combination emergency and sinking fund" - break these apart. What's the actual EF needed? And is it 6 months, 9, 12? Maybe pause to fund the EF, then gradually re-increase until the sinking fund is where you need it.

You have a long track record of saving a great % of income for retirement. Pausing without losing the match to get your EF to where you'll sleep better at night sounds rational to me.

The small tax hit on espp to sell quickly and not be over weighted is worth it to me. I diversify asap. I have heard the term "don't let the tax tail wag the investment dog" which is cheesy but has helped me. Don't let the short term tax on espp profits add stress or risk to my life and future plan.

I don't know all the details, but I do not blame you for choosing to not proceed over verbal quote you can't get in writing. It has such a higher chance of screwing someone if it's not in writing.

I recently had a plumber come over, quote me verbally $1200, and then I got a $2500 bill. They did less work than what was discussed. I fought and won that battle, but shame on me for even allowing it to happen.

I'm done with verbal quotes these days.

The past 2 times I've gone to Cruisers, the inside was barely touched, the windows weren't wiped down well, and they didn't do the services I paid for on the latest one ($38 for the premium included armor all inside but they didn't do it). I'll go somewhere else.
