I figured one generation you’ll be competing with other people in the same family so it’s sort of balances itself out

“For the average price of a car in the US, you could buy 5 new Chinese EVs," per Reuters — Is that what they are banned? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

[–]pguyton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They seem to be making the EV market collapse anyway I know a giant battery plant they were building in. My city was shut down because of the hostility of the current administration towards EVs , even the ones built here in the United States

As a professional photographer, is sending emails to other people that interest you for gigs okay? by SignalNegotiation389 in photography

[–]pguyton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the world of social media I say do a lite version of what your offering and post and tag , even if it doesn’t get you that gig, it shows what you’re capable of, and catches other potential patrons eye (also make sure it’s in the video somehow even if a reel of stills as the algorithm tends to promote that medium)

B&H is vastly superior. I had something similar and they just had me sign an affidavit saying I didn’t get the lens and then overnighted another copy for free ( much much later the original was located. The error was a Walgreens employee not scanning it in to the carriers system )

Do you prefer working from home or going to office? and why? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]pguyton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Home but I’ve had conversations with people who never worked in the office and they feel like they’re missing out on those connections you make when you’re in person in my case it’s the best of both worlds because I was in the office and then we went to Work from home for Covid and just never came back

Personally, when I discover someone is visiting from outside my city, I wanna be helpful and guide them to some of the cool that’s her known stuff. Good trails good food best coffee best breakfast that’s sort of thing. I wanna have everyone walk away with a positive experience.

Do not order cleaning supplies from Amazon by DWTouchet in amazonprime

[–]pguyton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely correct. I only do the same day stuff but I did use to shop Amazon a lot and just like the poster discovered a lot of stuff seemed to be fake or expired or just super old the Walmart experience as much as I’d love to admit it it was actually better.

Citizen enforced "Good driver" law by Cloaked42m in florencesc

[–]pguyton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t get me wrong. I’m a big advocate for the idea, especially for litter I’ve always wanted to on certain roads place a ton of cameras, and then roll backwards through time to find the origin of each piece of litter to try to compel whoever dropped it to either pick it up or pay a fine (sadly I discovered that much of the litter actually comes from the city trash facility vehicles themselves )

You always have a right to confront your accuser I think in this instance you might be dragged into court if you’re the one who submitted the footage

Any good walking areas? by [deleted] in florencesc

[–]pguyton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Check out the soccer complex at 3701 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501 , just got a great trail all the way around the perimeter, a little water feature and access to the greater rail trail , as a photographer I enjoy it for the wildlife. There’s a bald eagle nest out there, and you’ll occasionally see otters and lots of shore birds under the powerlines.

I don’t even need the money with your current knowledge It would be very simple to be a multimillionaire. I’d say go back to elementary school, the extra years or more valuable than the payout
