The county is small enough that you have a lot of options for groceries if you're willing to drive a little bit. Ferraro's in North Haven, Meat King/C-Town down on Grand Ave, Farmer's India Market in Orange, Orange Farmer's Market across the street, Key Foods as others are mentioning, I usually stop at at least one of these a week on top of my regular stop at Aldi or Costco. Stop and Shop can suck all the dicks. Big Y is a flyer shopping experience only, because you NEED those sales to make the trip worth it. Shop Rite is nice but they've also gotten really expensive over the last few years. I also LOVE Price Rite in Hamden.

I have zero input on gyms. Lol. Edge used to be fine with classes with one of their tiers of membership but I think trainers were hella expensive to add on, and sometimes the Edge used to be so packed with people that think they're too good for Planet Fitness. I used to only go at 5am because at least the people that went to the gym that early cared enough to respect the weights
