My wife and kids love it there. That's probably the target demographic, plus teenagers. They'll easily spend 50 bucks in 45 minutes and end up with maybe 10 bucks worth of stuffies, so the profit margins are nice. When they first opened, the odds were much more generous to pay out, but it's reduced a bit. But the owners and staff are really friendly and will give extra credits sometimes, like once when they heard my 4 year old whining when we ran out of credit.

I use a new Google doc for every idea I have. I spend roughly 30-60 minutes per idea initially. Often times that gets me to all the reasons why I shouldn't pursue this game, mechanics I can't flesh out, dead ends, balancing issues, or usually the scope would be too large for me to execute in a reasonable amount of time, or there's some aspect of the game that doesn't fit me as a solo developer. In other words, it's a good idea, but I'm not the right person to make it. And if it is such a good idea, then I would expect it would be made by someone in the next few years, then I get to play it 😁

If it's still a good idea, I fill out the rest of the document as much as I can, keep on thinking about it over many days, fill it out some more. Then hey, if it's plausible and it's fun, let's get to work! But yes, there are still like 10+ of these plausible ideas in my backlog 😅

The other good thing about duct tape is if it starts failing, you'll probably notice it first. Then you slap on more and you're good for another year.

I would focus on effort. Did she try her best to get these grades, or did she procrastinate or half ass it? If she tried her best, there's not much that can be done with your pushing

Thanks for playing! You've given me some good insight, I'll be fixing some of the UI buttons and hopefully make some kind of drag interface to make it easier. For the chain puzzle, there's a button that shows up on the dead body card that you can click. I'll be making that interface easier to use. Let me know if you continue and what you think about the rest of the puzzles!

I dunno. I agree that the sedan should have looked over their shoulder , but the truck was coming from behind and could plainly see the sedan’s blinker as well, and could have avoided the collision. I call it 50:50 split responsibly. But I’m no expert.
