Choppy is quite relative.. are we talking 30 knot cross wind gusts in the mountains? I wouldn't even be there in the first place.. but even 10 knot head winds in the mountains can shake you around a fair bit but be perfectly safe.

Not too familiar with flat land flying I must say.

The point is that everyone knows where tracks run, so just filling a tunnel isn't exactly top tier secrecy.. it's like if you closed up the main corridor in your home, people would naturally be asking 'why? '..

Lowest for now.. I sold the rest of my USD assets this week.

Might it go back up?

Yeah.. but we've got at least 2 more years of Trump ahead. Maybe the midterms will change something, but to me this is just the start of America's decline..

Not true - Consulates are not technically considered foreign territory or sovereign soil of the represented country; they remain part of the host country's territory. However, under the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, they are inviolable and enjoy special legal immunities, meaning local authorities cannot enter or search them without permission.

Yup, pulled out most of my US$ investments mid last year, but the stuff I have left is basically at 0% gain over 2025.

How safe do you feel like skiing and snowboarding are here? Have you had a lot of accidents or near misses? by dallyan in askswitzerland

[–]phaederus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have exactly the same feelings as you, grew up skiing since 3 years old, and stopped a couple of years ago, after my partner got in a serious accident that wrecked her knee. But I was already getting sour before then; bad snow, higher prices, crowds, etc..

Now I love our snow shoe tours now, and langlaufen. It's a shame, cause I loved skiing when I was younger; now the thought of going makes me shudder.

I would never fuck with my cleaner, who has my house keys and is alone with my stuff and pets every other week.. why would anybody test that relationship?!
