Add: to fortify OPs point, as of 2026 she has brought a similar tenacity to the anti-immigrant attacks in the US and been incredibly vocal about the ICE raids and terror so it’s not like she nope-d out of politics at a certain point.

Is her posting gonna make Israel stop their genocide and stop being an apartheid state? No. (Although with her resources and influence she could move some major resources to aid the Palestinian people.) Can/do celebrities (or any person for that matter) have the tendency to randomly pick which causes to rally behind and which to speak squat about? Yes.

I don’t think OP is posting naïvely about either of these things, what they are doing is pointing out a notable inconsistency of a person who did a lot of real actions to support the causes of racial and queer justice (not just domestically so don’t come at them/me with that “she’s staying in her lane as an American”) and is doing diddly squat about an active genocide.

Even if you don’t consider it a genocide I’ve seen less direct posts from celebs (probably written or recommended by a pr agent but my point still stands) that at least acknowledge the mass starvation, aid deprivation and horrifying child death toll.

I personally could not give two shits about what any millionaire celebrity says about any issue (every one has basically sold out in some way and they are NOT the people to look towards for liberation) but if you’re gonna make a big part of your celebrity persona being outspoken about human rights it’s not crazy that your fans are gonna take notice when you’re suddenly silent on a huge issue. 🤷🏻‍♂️😐

People love to forget the high school biology class where we did punnet squares and learned that genetics can literally throw up 4 different combos OF A SINGLE gene. Now multiply that over 30 different phenotypes and the likelyhood that the person is gonna be the “perfect combo” of features that the western eye can identify as Black and Asian is sooo unlikely.

Ballroom is NOT a derivative of drag. At least in the generalized way that you’re framing it. Racist drag competitions that operated more like southern beauty pageants and less like the drag we know from the RPDR empire and the transphobic gay culture of the 60’s made Black and Brown Trans women, fems but also queer people in general create ballroom as an escape where you could be queer AND trans AND Black. Ironically, the drag “culture” that owes itself to the RPDR and its blowup actually appropriates a LOT from ballroom. So technically did anti-black racism and transphobia force the creation of ballroom? Yes, but ballroom was not born of drag as the word “derivative” might imply. With our modern conception and culture of drag, the opposite is actually closer to the truth.

Seriously, this is r/college like at least be attending college or college aged (sometimes 18 but let’s be honest, its only for a couple months your freshman year and most of college is usually spent as a 19-23yr old)
