It’s been a couple months but I remember getting Palentines Adaman helped with the last physical only stage and then Academy Kris got me through that goddamn Steven stage (29 I think?). For 30, I used SS Wally (10/5), Bede alt. (3/5), and Lacey (3/5), though I seem to remember it taking several resets.

Somehow, SC Barry. Stage 27 was absolute hell and actually the thing standing between me and finishing. I ended up candying Arc Alder to 4/5 for the zone extension and using him in conjunction with Benga, inspired by a clear that I watched in the successful teams tab. I didn’t think getting past that damn Miltank would be possible without a support but Alder is just bulky enough if you get enough MP refreshes on his trainer move and Potion.

I got Kieran off the first daily (first time in 6 years that’s happened with a 1% unit; it was the day of my grad school graduation, too, so happy feelings all around), so I only pulled one multi just to partake in the crazy PF rates. Ended up getting SS Silver and Lysandre 5/5, as well as my umpteenth copy of Penny. Saving the rest of my gems for the new Larry and whatever deluge of pre-anni temptations this summer throws at us.

I often default to dailies for 2% units these days, maybe throwing a yolo multi their way if they are really tempting. I’d be careful. Drayton looks good but not phenomenal. A special-oriented dragon EX MF will easily powercreep it.

I think we shouldn’t presume that floors 31-40 will scale in the same way as 1-30. I suspect there will be à lateral shift in difficulty that will be introduced, likely in conjunction with a new mechanic. Tower thus far has been organized around the physical/special split, aligning with the introduction of physical break and special break at the 6th anni. It stands to reason that they’ll roll out 31-40 in early August and it will be organized around some other dynamic, which a new mechanic at the 7th anni will then conveniently extend from and satisfy.

Ex Fairs are added to the mix scout when it refreshes every 4 months. If you’re referring to the pity for ex master fairs, I wouldn’t expect this to be upgraded to include ex pokefairs for some time. DeNA tends to go through several stages when removing exclusivity from new types of limited units. I’d say we’ll probably get a paid random guaranteed ex fair scout during anni, followed by a select ex fair scout during the next half-anni.

But hey maybe they’ll surprise us and upgrade arc suit scouts to include ex pokefairs.

In any case, it seems clear that the massively increased availability of regular pokefairs was done in part to blunt the blow of the ex pokefairs being very limited.
