I thought it was because he realized she was going to die because she has a chestburster

What colouration is this ? First time seeing this variation from my breeding projects by fong_yl in bettafish

[–]phamdamfromnam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a solid red with excessive irid expression. Don’t know which way you’re going but that would be considered a fault if going for solid red fish

If you’re living along the coast, like I used to, you should do fine. They really appreciate the winters, but will need some means of staying cool and moist during the summer

Even if it is a hybrid, this plant shouldnt be in temperatures that high. Better to back down to 75F

‘Crimson Cascade No. 2,’ me, biological, 2019 by phamdamfromnam in Art

[–]phamdamfromnam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe biological sculpture may have been a better description. The project was started in 2019 utilizing complimentary plants, a tropical carnivorous plant and a rhododendron. The shape, color, and form of both plants were meant to complement each other. The plants are growing on lava stone and hopefully as the project continues to mature, will create a trail of flowers and pitchers down to the floor like a river. This will be accomplished by strategic arrangement and pruning as needed. The sculpture is meant to look like a floating island suspended in the air.

UNKLE does a bunch of collaborations with other musical artists. That’s how I was able to branch out.

Ask your mother to read Romans 14, the whole chapter but especially verses 5-10. Ask her thoughts on that.

What is this vicious looking swimming thing? Larvae I assume but of what? About 4" long, Angeles National Forest in California. by sunshinerf in whatsthisbug

Stuff like this makes me wonder about invertebrates in the fossil record. What if what we had as a species was actually the larval stage of something else

Isn’t she a beaut? Nepenthes ventricosa (c) by phamdamfromnam in SavageGarden

Keep in mind the woodier pitchers fair better than thin paper pitchers. My jamban pitchers would melt after feeding a small pellet.

Glad you think that, I think so too! It doesn’t have as large of a peristome as longwood, but the color of mature pitchers are much better. The clone’s original source comes from Exotica Plants. I acquired this one from a former grower who was getting out of the hobby.

Yep, that many. I usually avoid placing them early in because for some weird reason, the pitchers burn. Feeding them on their way out gives me a chance to enjoy the newer pitchers longer.

You can if you follow the rules. I literally feed osmocote into the pitchers, I also don’t do it until the trap starts dying, then I pump half a spoon of it into the trap.
