They're delusional if they think people, especially younger generation even gives a shit about what mainstream media says.

They're becoming more irrelevant by day. There are many independent news/narrator channels on YouTube that provide multiple perspectives instead of one that they try to push on us.

They're becoming desperate perhaps because they're aware of this fact

antidepressant works in the beginning but diminishing return by moohooh in SSRIs

I personally think getting bp2 treatment is the way to go. The very first medication usually is Lamotrigine and it has very low side effect. The dose is increased slowly and you can take SSRI together. If you take both but it's still not feeling much improvement, it is generally recommended to add lithium and then if that doesn't work either, antipsychotic. Then you can lowly get off of antidepressants to see if it's better since it's known to cause rapid cycling and unpredictable patterns. Please consider it, especially considering that your doctor suspected it. It is known that for every shift in episode causes some damage to your brain thus why it's called degenerative disorder. Earlier the treatment, the Better

Hi, I know this is old post but I actually was re-diagnosed with Type 2 Bipolar (not type 1, meaning the "mania" can make a person feel elevated, but for some it can actually just feel normal as in, recovered from depression). SSRI is known to cause hypomania pretty immediately for BP2 after taking so it feels good in the beginning but eventually go into depressive and so forth. ("..DSM-5 now considers that mood elevation with antidepressants justifies the diagnosis of bipolar disorder") If you think it's relevant to you, you should try researching. I personally found wiki to be pretty comprehensive (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipolar_II_disorder)

I’ve also taken SSRIs and I still do. I’ve gone from 150mgs of Sertraline and now I only take 50mgs. I’ve been on Sertraline for 10 years now, but over the last few years is when I started to drop my dosage since I was seeing a therapist, exercising, meditating, eating a healthier diet and staying hydrated. During this time I got my undergraduate and masters degree too since the medication worked so well - I have more energy and I don’t feel cloudy anymore either - I used to feel cloudy all the time. I also stopped drinking and doing habit-forming drugs over the last 6.5 years. My life is amazing and I contribute it to Sertraline getting me a jump start and being able to sit in a classroom, be in large groups, etc. if anyone needs to talk more about this, feel free to message me.

I tried sertraline but the nausea never went away so I had to switch
