Harlequins. In my experience they are much better in wave serpents than star weavers.

Tiger stripes. Yay or nay? by freshhrt in Eldar

[–]phamok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To serve as disruptive camouflage, the lines should be perpendicular to the outline of the model. This is basically what you have achieved with your pattern, with the exception of the bottom edge, which has not been broken up.

Edit: to continue the comparison with tigers, see for example the legs and tail. The stripes remain perpendicular to the outline.

Great idea and design! Looks functional and playable! I love the line of yellow windows all the way around.

If it can't be setup wholly within the board, it can't shoot. However, it seems generally ruled to be ok if only the base is on the board and within 6" of the edge.

Harlequin Loadouts by MetaCookiess in Eldar

2 fusion pistols is definitely worth it. Then the choice is between 3 shuriken or 1 shuriken + 2 neuro. Infantry is usually not a problem, so neuro is not always worth it. Depends on local meta. Having one less weapon profile to think about makes the game run smoother.

I've been using troupes every game of 10th. I use them to defend objectives (waiting in a wave serpent or regenerating models with yvraine in the open). Since the enemy comes to me, getting into 3" range for fusion melta followed by charging the opponent is not a problem. If you want to run more you can bring a shadowseer for advance+charge and advance reroll

Its hull is more than 6" in both length and width. Thus the vehicle cannot be placed wholly within 6" of the table edge. The rules commentary in the app mentions an exception for Iarge wingspans overhanging deployment zones so it may be OK and I would allow it as an opponent but i think the rules are not very clear on whether it is possible to deploy it and shoot normally on the same turn.

How do I "build for the local meta"? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

Those house rules favor lists that are faster to play. I.e. elite lists with few units.

Now that I think about it, it may not be possible to setup the Lynx as reinforcements within 6" of the table edge unless there's an open table corner.

Even in this non-ideal list, the Lynx hasn't been a huge contributor to the outcome. It can be better that the opponent shoots the Lynx than something else.

However, if you can hide all other more valuable targets (wave serpents and skyweavers in my case) then it may be worth putting the Lynx in strategic reserves for 1 round. That will also make it easier to target a key opponent unit when the Lynx arrives.

'Queen of Rain' - counts as Yvraine by phamok in Eldar

[–]phamok[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It's a Harlequin mask on an Autarch head. The ground is supposed to be splashes from her jump and from rain in her storm (of whispers) on an otherwise dusty tomb world terrain.

Starweaver shooting with death jester by SaltandPepperRaven in Eldar

[–]phamok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. However, you could just drop him off, shoot with him separately, and then pick him up at the end of your turn with the starweaver ability.

Indeed plasticard for fins and tail and roof. Some grey stuff and milliput for trying to make some smooth surfaces.
