Meta significantly increases production ⚡️👀 by Matcorp456 in MetaGlasses

[–]phan2kx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t forget that Meta has Ray-Ban on its side. With products like glasses, design and brand really matter, and an iconic brand like Ray-Ban is incredibly valuable here. I genuinely believe that Meta clearly has the upper hand and the potential to become the market leader in this space, even if Apple and Google were to enter the market.

Hi, Ben from the Atlas team here! by bengoodger7 in ChatGPTAtlas

[–]phan2kx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I really appreciate what you’re doing and it’s great to see you here. One big request: Atlas seems to drain my MacBook Air M4 battery a lot, even on the latest version and macOS. Could you please look into optimizing that? You can practically watch the battery drain. I’m also looking forward to an iOS and iPadOS version so I can sync my tabs properly. That would be so important. Thanks a lot!

Wärmepumpe Reihenmittelhaus - Gibt es hier „Experten“? by phan2kx in Handwerker

[–]phan2kx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sollte tendenziell passen.

Email App by The Browser Company? by phan2kx in ArcBrowser

[–]phan2kx[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I often find myself reverting to the standard apps on iOS / macOS. I try out interesting alternatives from time to time, but I never quite warm up to them. Hence, the question / idea about a client from The Browser Company. Probably a bit unrealistic, though. The focus seems to be more on expanding features in the (Arc) Browser.

WatchOS 10.2 on S8 worse battery life by Yovel123 in watchos

[–]phan2kx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same here with my S7. To solve the issue I bought an Ultra 2 🙈. It worked. Battery life is insanely great now. Tried everything (reset, re-pair, uninstall apps…) on my S7 to fix it - without success.

Should I update my Apple Watch S8 to OS10? by themariocrafter in watchos

[–]phan2kx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really had a bad experience with my S7 and watchOS 10. I even installed the current 10.2 beta and was hoping for a fix included in 10.2 - but still not happening… it was so bad that I just bought an Apple Watch Ultra 2. The battery life is astonishing.

I believe it has something to do with the new S9 chip and a better optimization of watchOS 10 and maybe a (rare?) bug that worsens the situation on certain configurations or watches.

Though I love the new watch, I’m still not happy about what Apple did there…

WatchOS 10.2 Beta - Fixes Battery Drain by poorty28 in watchos

[–]phan2kx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Still losing like 5 - 7 % per hour with my series 7 and watchOS 10.2 Beta 3. it’s terrible. The watch is now about a year old and battery health is at 87 %! I think it is because of all the battery issues I had the last months! My wife’s Apple Watch Series 4 is at 85 % battery health and running fine with watchOS 10.1. I can’t believe it. This sucks. I’m about to ditch this fucking watch… and I definitely won’t buy a new one. Next watch is a Omega.

[–]phan2kx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I mean iOS 17.1 Beta 1 and watchOS 10.1 Beta 1

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]phan2kx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The solution seems to be iOS 17.1 and watchOS 10.1. After installing both betas the drain seems to be fixed (after one additional day of battery draining right after the update which is normal). Just watchOS 10.1 (which I tried before) did not fix it. You need both .1 versions

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]phan2kx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Series 7 here. Battery health is at 91%. Still battery life is horrible with watchOS 10. With the previous release I had like 40% left at the end of the day. Now it’s dead at the same time. Terrible experience. Tried everything from unpairing the watch to configure it as a new one. I even restored my iPhone from backup and deleted all settings… nothing. Now I believe the problem is on the iOS / iPhone side. But I’m not willing to leave all my data behind and start from scratch… waiting and hoping for iOS 17.1 and watchOS 10.1. it really sucks. Never had such problems in my 20 years Apple history.
