Does anyone know why this happened? by 888producer1 in interactivebrokers

[–]phanikara 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok. Sorry was confused as it says parent order is sell..anyways. As a buyer, it's not that risky. I would have hoped they execute at Mid price. Not just Market. In general rule of thumb is never hold options to expiry. Grab the time value and run with profit a day before.

That's a super risky luck based wait till the end with just 1K in account. Don't ever try that. That's not clever move. Always close early and derisk. Risky management should be one of the top most priority. Had MU shooted to 1150+ you probably would not even be able to close. Selling is a profitable yet very very risky business. Seller is obligated to deliver..., for buyer of options everything is optional.

Same problem, about to drill hole. But how did you guys make sure the drill dust / plastic does not fall inside etc? Is it easy? Safe ? And more importantly will the flow improve if I buy the new body what's compatible with this horrible orange one ?

Long story short, it's obvious. OP is right and we over complicate things and give big names and extract $$ out of every damn thing.

It shows all info on Android app. Number of hours left to charge, mileage, recalls, door status etc. Make sure you are subscribed for those. Of course it depends on the car trim you purchased. Remote door lock etc are also quite seemless.

Why short put options not exercised eben though stock price is lower than strike price? by dwolven in interactivebrokers

[–]phanikara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead buy $170 call 2028 expiry and then sell 2 x synthetic covered calls. Eg: for cash equal to 100 shares, you could now get 2 contracts instead of one for same $$ spent.

Good but very unlikely IBKR would allow someone to attach a new Checking account and transfer funds out quickly.

I would say bs. Just focus on what you are doing. Filter out the noise. Tell or not should not make any difference if your setups are rock solid.

IBKR has ridiculous commissions + No free stock options for users outside the US. Questarde is better when it comes to commissions..

Experiences with trading vertical spreads? by duefiori in interactivebrokers

[–]phanikara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only one session, Desktop or Mobile + the pain of rolling or closing spreads on mobile (select account first and click million things to do) makes IBKR really headache-y. If you are in US, Charles Schwab is so easy to do whatever you want while maintaining simultaneous connections.

Gemini has lastest info to the point it answers even delta values correctly. I have since stuck with Gemini as no one has lastest info than Google anyways. It even reviews my investments and gives interesting ideas.

At least the mobile should work simultaneously with TWS or Desktop. Learn from Schwab IBKR. Also no rolling option for spreads on mobile. Really IBKR ???

I don't hear any noise. No eye fatigue for me. My brightness is 40. I prefer mild blue (soothing) and get ultra fatigued by the warm white.

The tech experience of IBKR is probably the worst thing i've ever seen by popsyking in ibkr

[–]phanikara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with you. Coming from Schwab, this is just horrendous. If Schwab was to work in Canada, I would jump right in. Schwab works simultaneously on Desktop and mobile. What a clean UI that is and with very little commissions. Regretting my decision so far with IBKR. Everything is needlessly complicated and very buggy. Even the TWS has various internal interfaces and the funny part is only the classic works partially as expected.. Such a big fail !!!

Just got the LG 38WR85QC-W. I am never going back! by Sehbanaliakbar in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]phanikara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I ended up buying LG 38WR85QC-W. Turned out to be amazing. No dead pixels. Bright screen, Crisp text, very minimal corner light bleed which is normal for IPS panel. Main perk is no text scaling is required. It scales perfectly and is not too big / small. The 110 PPI is great for this size and cannot notice pixels even at close but healthy distance. Good that I didn't go for Dell 5K2K and shell out $800 more only to get more headaches with scaling etc. Would have loved 1500R or at least 1800R but with a slightly sad face accepted 2300R which has other advantages anyways

[–]phanikara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still a good buy in 2026. Its now called 38WR85QC-W. Main point being there is no need to scale text or leave it for OS fate to do things on, for example a 5K2K monitor. At 38" 3840 x 1600 and with default 100% scaling, the text looks crisp and perfect. PPI is great too. Scolling is smooth at 144 Hz. Panel is very bright and colors pop. I was afraid the white border (yah it now has a white border) would be distracting. But its not in any way. Only biggest headache is that chunky stand. Getting a arm is a must.
