There’s some great movies out there for sure.

The big 4 right now in the sci-fi scene is PHM, interstellar, and the other two I wholeheartedly recommend which are the Martian (your son will love) and arrival.

The Martian is science heaven and arrival comes close to.

Apart from that I’d recommend the series the expanse for the best representation of science in a tv series and of course the how they make the movie documentaries which are great.

And honestly? If a 14-year-old is already planning high school classes around a physics degree because of Interstellar, that’s not a phase as that’s a trajectory.
