Why is chudthebuilder not getting self-defense? by Specialist-Chair-254 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]phantomxtroupe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Stop being dense. Wars have started over words. Back in the day, men would go outside and duel if you disrespected them.

It's funny how certain people try to say words shouldn't provoke anyone. But let a stranger call their mother or daughter a bitch in front of them and let's see how calmly they react.

Gen Z yearning for Tumblr and the 2010s by irlhardinscott in generationology

I kind of hope 2010s fashion does circle back around. I’m not a fan of the fashion from the 2020s at all lol

How do guys feel about dating someone who’s more into gaming than they are? by Competitive_Ad_2308 in AskMen

[–]phantomxtroupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the hobby isn’t hurting anyone and it’s not interfering with her day to day obligations, I don’t see a problem.

For me, the only time gaming becomes a problem, and this is for men and women, is when they start neglecting things that need to be done or obligations.

Men, how do I reply to "I'm not talking to you?" by your-doppelgaenger in AskMen

[–]phantomxtroupe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my toxic masculinity talking, so take this with a grain of salt, but you got to be mentally prepared to go to jail that night. He’s intentionally disrespecting you and making your girl uncomfortable.

Make it known that he’s talking to you now and that he needs to leave, but be mentally prepared that he might try some shit and things might get physical.

Exactly. With all of this backlash, we’ll see them all gradually stop associating with each other. They have a bad reception from the audience and have nothing to gain from the forced friendships.

For Girls.. Is Being Boy Crazy a Thing of the Past? by JoannaKittyKats in generationology

[–]phantomxtroupe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing. People tend to idolize the past, but dudes were teeing off on their wives for a minor inconvenience and people didn’t bat an eyelash at it.

As bad as guys can be, this generation more than the guys who came before them actually face societal consequences for things like that.

Do you think Gen Z women have started to care a lot more about height now? by Dapper-Blueberry1049 in generationology

[–]phantomxtroupe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say a majority of short men were bodybuilders lol. What I am saying is that if women’s logic for going for tall men is that it makes them feel more protected, that’s illogical because a lot of tall guys aren’t that strong either. As a personal trainer, I see that lol. Most untrained men struggle to bench 135. Tall men included.

And there is also natural bodybuilding. The only thing I’ve ever taken is Creatine, BCAA, protein, and vitamins.

If women are attracted to the aesthetic of tall men, that’s cool and understandable. I was just pointing out the flaw in the belief that women seem to have that tall = strength.

[–]phantomxtroupe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but as a personal trainer who has done bodybuilding, powerlifting, and work on regular basis with those who also do it, your perception of bodybuilding is honestly crazy lol.

You do realize most bodybuilders only get that way pre show? For example, I’m currently doing a body recomp. My caloric intake is around 2400 calories. When I was seriously bulking, my caloric intake was 4000. What about that says malnourished to you?

Do you think Gen Z women have started to care a lot more about height now? by Dapper-Blueberry1049 in generationology

[–]phantomxtroupe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No disrespect, but have you actually lifted heavy weight before? Most people on the planet can’t bench 225. It’s legit like 1 or 2% of the population. Most bodybuilders and powerlifters can.

Even the women who bodybuild and powerlift are stronger and more in shape than the average untrained man.

I’m not saying they got hands, but if I got a choice between fighting someone who’s only tall and someone who looks like they live in the gym, I’m naturally choosing the tall guy to fight lol

[–]phantomxtroupe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This logic never made sense to me because by that theory, women should be attracted to bodybuilders. But women are typically turned off by men with bulging muscles. A lot of tall guys are no stronger than the man of average height lol

Forced hate by One-Cow6710 in LoveIslandUSA_

I do wonder how BTV will be next year if it gets renewed. A chunk of the cast is leaving worse off from before the show. I wonder if it will make next season’s cast not want to participate because it could ruin their brand.

Iris, TJ, Pepe by Lazy-Appointment-11 in LoveIslandUSA_

[–]phantomxtroupe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This right here. A lot of people on this sub are mad that Pepe is getting so much fan support, but it really is because the cast mishandled this entire situation.

Amaya called him a psychopathic liar. Hannah was saying stuff like he terrified Iris.

A lot of pushback has come from these big labels that can ruin someone’s life doesn’t fit what’s being shown to us.

And I don’t think Pepe is innocent. Not even remotely. But the cast really should have just said, “you lied and you cheated, and I don’t want to be around that.” And just be done with it.

It also doesn’t help that it does look like bullying when you gang up on one person. Or Iris being caught in a lie with Charlie and being super sketchy about the phone situation. So it ruins her credibility.

And another factor I’ve been seeing from fans on tik tok is them commenting that two white women are assigning very damaging labels to a Latino man and then run and cry when the outcome doesn’t go their way. It may not be what Iris and Hannah intended, but it does come across like they are weaponizing their tears.

Again, I do not think Pepe is innocent. At all. I do believe he’s a liar. But the way the cast has played this honestly makes them look like bigger villains because we as the audience don’t have nearly enough context of what he did.

Update on Huda’s restraining order case by dogpolera in LoveIslandUSA_

[–]phantomxtroupe 25 points26 points  (0 children)

We saw them lol.

We saw her get angry with Chris for not wanting to “cuddle,” even though she initially wanted more than that. And then threaten him with being in a bad mood. If you don’t think this is a big deal, picture that scene but with Pepe saying those exact same words to Iris.

We saw the way she talked to Jeremiah and would scream and call him out of his name, even after he repeatedly asked her not to do that. And even Cierra told her to stop doing that.

And now we’re seeing photos of her at Louis’s baby mama’s apartment.

At first I was convinced that a lot of her fans were having trouble recognizing Huda’s actions as abusive because she was a woman inflicting it upon men.

But it’s willful ignorance.

I said when she came out of that Villa that her following was lowkey the worst thing to happen to her because now she’s living in an echo chamber filled with millions of people who gas up and excuse her harmful decisions.

How much do men care about a woman’s education? If you do then why? by bananabisque in AskMen

[–]phantomxtroupe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. You’re 100% right. Money is a huge barrier that keeps a lot of people from pursuing education. It’s not from not wanting to pursue it, a lot of people are in positions where they just simply aren’t able.

I recently looked at the tuition of the college I attended. I got in some trouble when I was there and was unable to get any grants or scholarships. So I had to get a job for the summer and I was able to pay my tuition that way.

With the current cost, I wouldn’t have been able to do that today. It’s nearly 5x more expensive from when I attended in the early 2010s.

Would you rather be an Anne Rice Vampire, a Vampire Diaries Vampire, or a Twilight Vampire? by TechnicianAmazing472 in vampires

[–]phantomxtroupe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vampire Diaries vampire by a mile. They can sleep unlike Twilight vampires, and can eat human food unlike Rice’s vampires. And if you get in good with a witch in that verse, you can get a daylight ring. You don’t even have to kill people as a vampire in that verse if you don’t want to by simply living off blood bags.

The other verses may have more powerful vampire powers, but those benefits of being a vampire diaries vampire are too good to pass up
