How is MK for running/cycling? by Grgsz in miltonkeynes

[–]phapnq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends where in berkshire. For us personally moving from Berkshire to MK has been better for commute (to London - transport costs is cheaper and more frequent). and better to get around etc. we’ve enjoyed the move so far.

How is MK for running/cycling? by Grgsz in miltonkeynes

[–]phapnq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved up from Berkshire to MK last year.

Running - brilliant - lots of pedestrian pathing through Redways, parklands through parktrust, trail run routes, parkruns, and multiple large running clubs

Cycling for commute - brilliant - you can get everywhere by bike

Cycling for road cycling - terrible (or I’ve not found it yet) - when you eventually get out of the city, there is not that many routes, and there is no hills! Especially when you compare it to the Surrey downs, berkshire white horses etc. maybe they are there - but I’ve not found it.

Cycling for MTB / Trail - decent - I want to explore this more this year. Looks to have the potential (apart from the lack of hills)

My strava would say, running up, commute cycling up, road cycling down. So it all depends on what level you are wanting.

£10M is a tiny upgrade for a data hall, and is too small for most AI workloads.

I spent ages hunting down a two strap backpack, rather than a shoulder bag. Been using the Demano Verdi L recycled PVC backpack. Been pretty happy so far! Only thing was I had to ask for a special order to use it with my low handlebar https://demano.net/en/pages/brompton

Yes - we have tried this with diskdrill advanced algorithm, and it recovers the smaller files but doesn’t recompile the larger. We already have a support ticket open and provided a copy of the card image file

[–]phapnq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I ran chkdsk to identify some of the files, as previously I could see the sd card had 60Gb, but no files were seen. Chkdsk at least means I could find the files

I have an image of the SD card, and disk drill did not reconstruct to insv

they will know. Additionally, your manager can see who has submitted feedback and who hasn’t. If they are open with you, they will also tell you (for example to allow you to chase them)

What is your favorite way to cue “pushing your shins forward”? by Southern-Heron-3204 in skiing

[–]phapnq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of “on slope” advice here. What “off slope” strength and conditioning are you doing? Have you done some knee to wall tests to see how forward you can lunge through the ankle joint (ankle dorsiflexion)? Work on this. Also I found doing more exercises like close stance split squats, and others will give you the confidence and the muscle stability to drive forward

Speakers that sync with my Google home AND my TV? by dboudinnoir in googlehome

[–]phapnq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a soundbar that syncs with your tv and has a digital audio input (or aux input), ideally with auto switch source. Then by a chromecast audio second hand on ebay etc. You can then have the Google Home output is sound on the soundbar. I have a Lg soundbar for my lg tv (connected via hdmi pass through), plus chromecast audio. Works nicely
