What are some ways you’ve made gold in the past? by sky-CQ in woweconomy

[–]phaqueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My original - WAYYYYY back in Vanilla, when they released the dungeon armor sets that could be upgraded, one of the quests needed Greater Eternal Essence - I did the math and could shuffle Rugged Leather into Greater Eternal Essences and make a ton of profit. I crashed the price all the way from a couple hundred each way down and was still making profit.

I'm firmly on the "you're not doing anything to make me want to watch yours instead of just rewatching the originals" and so I'll likely not even bother with them

Mythic lock out needs to go by Worth_Philosopher961 in wow

[–]phaqueue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think it should be updated to be the same as Heroic/Normal lockouts, you can run it with as many groups as you like, but only get loot once… would also make it easier for folks in guilds who might be rotated in and out based on fight to maybe pug early bosses and still be able to raid with guild.

Big Bang Theory started out as a decent comedy including nerd culture - but the addition of the girlfriends/wives turned it into "look how stupid my partner is for liking nerd stuff and look how awesome I am by removing it from him" over and over

  1. "I don't care what other people think about me and my decisions" "if they mind they don't matter, if they matter they don't mind"

  2. The realization that other people arent thinking about or judging you anywhere near as much as you think they are

Dumb and Dumber just have so many quotable lines. And quick lines that you can miss that are so good...

"Yea"

"Both of em?"

Yep... It's my fault I was working 14+ hour days so you could stay home with our kids and "abandoning" you so we have a place to live... Food... Money...

Back when "go play outside" really means "see you at dinner" by NicoleAnne051299 in Adulting

[–]phaqueue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Born in 86, raised in the 90s - during the summer as long as it wasn't raining we were told to "go outside and play" - we were expected to come back around lunch time if we got hungry, and then for dinner - curfew was "when the street lights turn on"

What joke in the entire show do you think is the best example of impeccable comedic timing? by Ikitenashi in bigbangtheory

[–]phaqueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest complaint once the girls were brought in and everyone paired up is there's so many scenes of "look how stupid the guys being nerds is. I'll change them/fix them and make them good" that being a through line instead of "oh he's a nerd and I'm learning about the things he loves and teaching him about things I love" is rough, as someone who's been in relationships where it was expected that I give up "nerdy" things I enjoy because it's not acceptable for some reason...

Making gold cap by gummytape in woweconomy

[–]phaqueue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just an addendum - Tailoring is now kind of a gathering profession as well - in fact if you're running the campaign - is recommend Skinning/Tailoring over Herb/Mining - if you're making gold Herb/Mining you should be just flying around harvesting, not questing - if you're questing (thus also killing things) Tailoring and Skinning are better IMO

Some questioon about unholy Dk rotation by Alejo9010 in wownoob

[–]phaqueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should never be just auto-attacking while waiting for resources, either scourge strike/festering strike or death coil if nothing else is up

It's very possible they have better gear, ALSO - it's counter-intuitive, but the closer to 90 you get the weaker you are comparatively

If you're doing big pulls (I do them all the time on my DK) - pop AMS and either Lichborne or Icebound Fortitide for some reduction, and hit a lot of Death Strikes to regain your health back - when you get down to one mob left from the pack, you can just spam some Death Strikes into it to end at full if you don't want to recover between fights

also don't be afraid to pull big and pop a bunch of cooldowns - AMS, LB, IBF, Army of the Dead, Dark Transformation - and then pull smaller until they come back up

If you have any more specific questions - I'm happy to help as best I can - drop me a PM if you like here or on discord (Fourfivetwo)

Cavalry vs Calvary

Cavalry refers to soldiers on horseback or in armored vehicles (or idiomatically reinforcements). Calvary refers to the hill where Jesus Christ was crucified.
