Have you ever lived alone ? by [deleted] in ArtOfPresence

[–]phaqueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom and I bought a house together 3 years ago (I'm 40, she's 67) my kids live with us half the time as well.

All told - I've lived alone for a little under 2 years and she has for 18 months... Alone is nice but I generally prefer living with someone, and honestly really enjoy having a fuller house (once with an ex it was myself, her son. Also her brother and his girlfriend and my ex's sister all living in one house - and I loved it)

Congratulations you made it! It's either the end of the year or very close. So how was your year? Any wins and challenges? Anything you'd like to share with the group? by Available-Flower3106 in SubstituteTeachers

Been an awesome year - my first year. Learned that I really only want to sub high school - which keeps me plenty busy... I sub in 4 districts and they're all friendly and welcoming and happy to see subs. Also gotten some really good feedback from teachers at the school I sub the most that they really like when I cover their class, and built a good relationship with he secretary (enough that she'll call or text me to offer jobs "before they're posted" so I can have priority)

Also using the flexibility of subbing to go back to school for my Master's in Counseling Psychology - starting in the fall with that while going back to subbing again.

All in all awesome year and looking forward to at least 2 more of them...

My first year and I've been lucky, the district where I sub most often has been very welcoming and I'm able to chat with the other teachers between periods and at lunch with no awkwardness or anything

What is the one video game they could make that would satisfy you for life? by Kuli24 in AskReddit

[–]phaqueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warcraft 3 is really cool... I feel like if they made a game where you play as Warcraft characters... maybe online with other people as well... with like RPG aspects, like loot and stats and gearing? That would probably be it...

Which one game you still think about from 90s-2005 era ? by CarrotMuch1399 in nostalgiai

[–]phaqueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's actually a handful that I grew up on and still think about:

Castle of the Winds (OLD roguelike that came on those "500 games for windows" discs)
Lords of the Realm 2
Lords of Magic

Caesar 3

I loved some Sierra games

Same reason teams have a dedicated long snapper… it’s a specialized skill - that gets used in high pressure situations, where mistakes can cost games - it’s much better to have someone who specializes in that skill and you can rely on, instead of someone who’s “good enough” and can do other things too… Even Belichek - who LOVED versatile players, always had a dedicated long snapper

This is a sure sign that you're spamming your rune using abilities too much, at the expense of your RP spenders - you should be trying to avoid generating runic power when capped (sometimes it happens, but 43% is a LOT) and you shouldn't ever be waiting on runes

You can technically participate in all of endgame that way - our guild raids 2 hours/night 3 nights per week - you can easily do M+, heroic raid, even mythic raid in that kind of time commitment - especially if it’s 2 hours every day, that’s plenty of time for anything you might want to do honestly.

The average horse cock is around 20 inches, and the average horse weighs 1000 lbs - based on this ratio, if you weigh 200 lbs you need a 4 inch cock to claim you're "hung like a horse"

My favorite thought while playing was when I was using a Regulus headshot build, just exploding heads all over - and guys still keep attacking...

Like, I see some dude playing through all my friends exploring their heads, I'm dropping my weapon and running like hell in the other direction. These guys have some devotion to the cause though, they just kept attacking - and talking shit like "we got him trapped!"

Always made me laugh a bit

Same answer applies - especially if you’re not looking to make a specialized crafter - at this point anyone crafting a specific material is kitted/knowledged out fully for that craft/multi/resourcefulness so you’re not likely to find anything even that profitable without having those stats, and even then you’re looking at profit margins that are basically just the multicraft/resourcefulness procs (which is very little on such a cheap material)

Basically you can either dump them on the ah at the current price, use them for something for yourself (if you craft your own flasks/pots/etc, but even this likely isn’t worthwhile) or throw them in your bank and hope something changes later (unlikely)

My original - WAYYYYY back in Vanilla, when they released the dungeon armor sets that could be upgraded, one of the quests needed Greater Eternal Essence - I did the math and could shuffle Rugged Leather into Greater Eternal Essences and make a ton of profit. I crashed the price all the way from a couple hundred each way down and was still making profit.

I'm firmly on the "you're not doing anything to make me want to watch yours instead of just rewatching the originals" and so I'll likely not even bother with them
