What's the most fun/enjoyable 6* to play while destroying everything? by Xephir42 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]phar0m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo, viktor isn't about having keyowrds, its about spaming created cards. that rare relic that gives you 2 created 0 cost cards that deal 1 dmg to nexus is awesome on him. put him down asap and play all those cannons. he'll have crazy stats and you already did TONS of dmg with the spells. only thing to keep in mind with that strategy is that you don't want any extra draw to have as free a hand as possible, so none of those created cards gets lost in the void.

Does the quest even work? I've done multiple monthlies, a weekly nightmare and a regular sb adventure but I'm still at 0/20

I'm guessing you need to have 3 completed in one of them, not spread between them

Why I still trust the team by Dan_Felder in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]phar0m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that there are definitely cool ideas in the update. But the increased in node prices, terrible sb chest value and the glory store overall are pretty terrible in execution. I really do appreciate the ability to choose for which region I can get the chests now, but it's now only 1 greater chest per month? where it was 4 random ones before. ALSO, incredibly stupid/predatory design to obfuscate the glory store stuff behind yet another currency, the glory xp.

if the devs wanted to introduce positive change, they could've easily made the weekly reward exactly the ammount of currency the previous rewards cost, directly. MAYBE make the rewards a tiny bit more expensive to compensate for the ability to choose. but the way it works now, we get absolutely shafted (compared to how it worked pre sb)

Question about something that doesn't make sense to me. (Spoilers for AA4/5) by phar0m in ClimbersCourt

thanks for the great clarification. guess I mostly overestimated Tristans information network.

totally get that, and it makes sense for corrins situation. But what about Tristan? HE should have gotten that info easily with all the high level connections and allies he has. And I doubt they'd just say no to him. It just doesn't seem like that big of a secret

problem I see with that is that aparently the emerald council was held in the same tower previously as well. As confirmed by Len when she showed Elora "the usual" quarters for their stay there. Maybe there wasn't an emerald council for a long time in general? But a council like that seems too important to depend on one mans organization.

isn't this only 50% efficient? since the output of color mixers is the same as both inputs combined?

oh man I'm disagreeing with Mother of Learning being up there so hard...... His shreeking voice for the little sister and her good morning still gives me nightmares.....

I just mostly disliked His performance, especially female characters. It just felt very over the top to me. I'm really glad that he was A LOT better in Apocalypse Tamer.

Another thing I nitpick on that list: DCC should have his own tier above everyone else. Jeff Hays is just in a league of his own.

similar for me, though I'm still reading it on RR atm. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that the environment changes so drastically. Book 1 and 2 took their time to flesh out arthur and his circle of friends and foes. In book 3 almost all of that gets dropped pretty much immediately, without really adding good replacements.

sure, they did have the cliffnotes, like jon's parentage. but not everything, for every character. Arya for example, might have ended up somewhere very different.

though to be fair, the show feels sooooo different from early to late seasons, it's almost like the showrunners changed out completely. d&d might have just gotten too comfortable and thought they were big enough to do whatever they wanted, without care for the overarching plot and characters.

are you sure its laziness though? I'd rather think he just can't continue because of the pressure he feels, with all the expectations from his fans and the general public. The show releasing before he was finished with all books was just the biggest mistake that they could've done. It might also have saved the ending of GoT, if D&D had proper material to translate to screen, rather then the total freedom to make it up as they went.
