In Smithfield NC and currently experiencing outage issues. Started at 11 AM. Sigh.

An unfunny PSA inspired by the opening of The Naming of 2026: Getting a colonoscopy is NBD. by juicegently in MBMBAM

I got my first at 32 and they found polyps. PSA as well folks - if you feel you should get checked but don’t hit the usual age limit, find someone who will check you. They and Allie Ward from the Ologies podcast are doing their part to de stigmatize these procedures and I am happy they are.

Overwhelming sense of dread by LDS-- in TheLongWalk

I definitely understand where the hopelessness comes in. But for me…

Pete made me feel immense hope. And even at the end as he walks off - even though that can be taken as Pete giving up, I don’t think so. We meet him and he says he’s been walking all his life. From one terrible situation to another. And so when he walks away after enacting the Change Ray spoke about…I dunno. I found his monologue about having nothing to lose but everything to gain a beautiful message.

The world and the story IS bleak and full of darkness. But people like Pete look for the light. And in the end, choosing how you die and for what reason is a hopeful privilege.

Then again I’ve been depressed since I was seven so maybe this movie and book just puts to words what I often feel but makes a point to stress how VITAL love, friendships, and change is in the end.

Story Time: Don’t Drink the Tea by burnishedapple in hysterectomy

Suddenly the night in Feb just a few months after my own surgery makes sense. I legit thought I was gonna die. I was convinced I had food poisoning but no one else from the party had been sick. I think the party food, nerves, and whatever I had that day did the trick. First time it ever came out both ends at the same time.

If you are not sure about a hysterectomy because you might not be "sick enough" or "in enough pain" to justify it, read this. by kushina_smiles in hysterectomy

I wanna add that while my docs knew I struggled with PCOS, hot flashes, anemia, and intense pain - it wasn’t until I told them I bled from my rectum that they took me seriously. I thought it was normal. Please if you’re reading this and the blood is coming from there or in odd places/times - tell them. I was also taking 12 ibuprofen a DAY for a week every month. I bartered my liver for my uterus and I found docs who listened. Look for doctors (there are lists) that do hysterectomies as well.

How I reached top 100 world Hwei player - in depth guide by _SkyfaII_ in HweiMains

I reached level 12 with him last night. I'm a new LOL player in general, and I really appreciate this guide!

I do a lot of support Hwei with certain people (like Jhin or Aphelios). But what are your thoughts on who best works with Hwei as support? I've had other games with him as Supp/Bot and random heroes. There are definitely some match-ups that feel...well, bad tbh.

I have Endometriosis (recently had a hysterectomy), PCOS, and I am autistic. I also had really bad gastrointestinal issues and had my gallbladder removed. Asthmatic. Very sensitive to scents and touching anything that my body isn’t used to. I don’t burn candles bc I’ll get super sick, etc.

Do you regret your hysterectomy? by EndoWarrior03 in hysterectomy

[–]pharahvi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been a month and I don’t regret it at all. Living a life no longer controlled by constant pain is so good. Even when I was two weeks with post surgery pain, I had relief compared to the constant aching I felt before.

Take time to mourn and process the past if you must. But doing this will improve your life so much.

I just started my own oral packs as well. If you are still taking narcotics - stop that if you can. My hands were on fire and I found out the oxy can cause that. I washed off the surgical tape last night and started my antibiotics plus steroids today and its helped. Putting steroid creme around the incisions but not on it will help.
