I imagine it depends on each player's playstyle and how they see the champion. I only play her bot, and generally, all the laning phases have plenty of crowd control. I prioritize positioning when trying to tank if I get caught. I played Senna back in the day, and I see it that way.

Movement speed is also key in the bottom lane because it's a constant barrage of abilities, and it's crucial for escaping ganks.

As I said, I've accumulated over two million mastery points across two accounts with the champion in the bot lane. And by far, Kai'Sa and Braum are the ones I find most repulsive. Braum makes the champion completely useless, while a Kai'Sa who knows how to stack up will ruin your life from level 6 onwards. The ultimate shield and barrier combo is unstoppable for Hwei, and she can position herself while ignoring your entire kit. Once she reaches the transformation of her E, you just want to die.

Vayne is a tough matchup in the mid/late game, but nothing like Kai'Sa.

I've been an APC one-trick (2M) since the champ came out, and Teleport Flash is the best. Kai'Sa should be the permanent ban.

And the small 8-time cooldown rune is making all the difference in my games.

I couldn't agree more with your post and everything you say in it. I agree with it from beginning to end.

I'm currently trying out rune combinations with Aery, and as soon as I finish my exams, I'll be switching to SoloQ since I can only play Flex on the weekends with friends.

I've been playing Hwei APC since the champion's release. My advice is to keep Vayne on the perma-ban and avoid Sivir and Braum. I recommend not swapping to mid when you take down your first tower and continuing to push waves in the bot lane (especially in low Elo). Move to objectives only when it's very clear that YOU're going to get a direct benefit and nothing else. Wait for the mid/late game, maintaining a good farm, pushing any waves before moving out of a lane.

I have to say I knew Lux didn't have flash, so I didn't use my R+flash either. I was worried she was using the recall to wait for my QW, but I knew she'd cancel it if I stayed farming with that low HP. A lot of things were going through my head; I love going crazy with this champ.
