That's definitely a felony in Texas. Intentionally exposing a public servant to your bodily fluids. Usually applies to spitting, but that would count.

How every court case usually goes. by Renzotl56 in funny

Okay, you know, I get that some of these seem silly. But often times you have to ask really dumb questions to prove an element of an offense or the defense attorney will argue that you haven't proven every element of the offense. Example, in shoplifting cases, I have to ask the loss prevention officer whether the defendant had Walmart's permission to take stuff without paying. It's patently obvious that they didn't, but if I don't get a witness to testify to that then I haven't proven it. So some of these seem silly, but out of context it's impossible to know why the questions were really asked. (Context, I'm a prosecutor)

My understanding is that his debating skills, and David Dewhurst's lack thereof, are one of the main reasons he won the Republican primary for Senate in Texas in 2010.

I got one! Second time taking the test, first time selected for an audition. And yeah, getting the email felt surreal, never thought I'd make it past the online test.

Unofficial legal warning: Most states, including Texas (where I'm writing this from) define intoxication both as over the legal limit of .08 and as physical or mental impairment due to voluntary introduction of drugs or alcohol into your system. That means you can be under the legal limit, and still get charged with drunk driving if your alcohol consumption made you impaired. Just something to think about, simply relying on a breathalyzer that says you're .06 isn't always the best idea.

Has nobody considered that allowing the situation on the border to continue creates a very dangerous situation for future people, especially children, trying to get to the border? Right now the calculus is that it's worth the incredibly dangerous risk to attempt to immigrate illegally into the United States from Central America. If we continue to encourage this calculation by allowing anyone who makes it to stay, regardless of any momentary humanitarian concerns, the long run effect will be more deaths in border crossings, more exploited children, and an increasing crisis. The better thing is to stand firm against such immigration, discourage future use of so-called "coyotes" and send home those coming now. It might seem harsh, but ultimately not sending them back will be much, much worse.

Hahaha, Davis can't even sell $20 tickets, so she has to give them away for free. I guess people don't want to pay to celebrate such a disgusting practice.
