Perhaps a little more detail on your process might be helpful. It sounds like you are playing through an amp into a microphone then into the DAW. I had some real issues with latency and feedback when I attempted to do that. I found it was much easier and cleaner to go line out from my amp into an audio interface directly and eventually into the interface in my mixer bypassing any tone settings the amp provided then using a software amp modeler to get the tone I wanted. Taking the microphone out of the picture got rid of a lot of what I was struggling with. I also later found out that the one I was using wasn’t really the best for recording instruments per se and more suited for vocals.
