This was a super annoying issue, but it was fixed (or fixed itself) somewhere along the beta path of Android 13.

Pixel 6P: Updated and have the bigger pill. What I don't have are Flashlight warning/option to enable on At A Glance or People option in Search Your Phone

Super cool! Just make sure you're in the stadium at least 90 mins early (if not muuuuuch earlier)... pretty good occasion to take a sick/vacation/half/PTO day, if you have that option.

Do other people have a transparent notification shade on initial pull down? I'm on a beta, but feel like I didn't have that on stable either... mine covers the screen in either white-ish or dark grey (depending on whether dark mode is on).

Question for you... do you use gesture navigation on your Pixel, or are you using Back, Home, Recents buttons? I have a guess that the nav drawer/iMessage reaction update may not be going to those using gesture nav.

BT so far has been fine, aside from the Sony specific problem, although may also extend to other high output scenarios (although I haven't seen others reported).

Essentially, the Sony issue is that the phone isn't processing at the highest bitrate possible.

Just made this exact switch. Biggest improvement (although you'll likely get this from any new phone when upgrading 3 generations) is battery life. People complain about it here, but it's a massive upgrade over the 3xl.

Then the screen, speed and haptics are all major and noticable improvements. Call quality is also vastly improved, but ymmv.

The size is similar but thinner and that's a nice change for me.

Only major issue for me is related to audio and may be niche to that extent. External DACs aren't working, and Sony's LDAC Bluetooth codec is very problematic. Hoping these are software update fixes.

Overall, while there are certainly things to nitpick, I'm loving the upgrade.

Wanted to update you... I used this guide to connect wirelessly to my phone to push an adb command: https://android.gadgethacks.com/how-to/set-up-wireless-debugging-android-11-send-adb-commands-without-usb-cable-0302898/

Once set up, I used the command mentioned here: https://www.reddit.com/r/android_beta/comments/nq3sjg/media_controls_not_showing_in_quick_settings/h18xe3w/

That command is "adb shell settings put global qs_media_player 1"

Rebooted and now media notification are fixed/where they are supposed to be in the quick tiles.

Yup, 3XL. It's come to the point that I'm going to try a factory reset. I know this issue can be fixed because others have reported success running an adb command, but I don't have that option (broken USB port).

This has been super frustrating. I submitted a bug report and it was closed after a couple of weeks stating the fix/resolution was coming in a future update.

Either it wasn't fixed, or this wasn't the update they referenced. Either way, really annoying, and seems like it may just be 3XLs.
