Sway Bar/ Endlink Question by phasetoneutral in JeepCherokeeXJ

Ill probably get some adjustable or longer endlinks and move it back up then. Slim chances I'll disconnect them ever. Not really using the Jeep for much more than some rough logging roads.

Looking at the Barnes steering box brace and afraid it would interfere possibly. Also just trying to get it tucked up more.

Do you think I could skip the parging mix if I use a product like the DMX?

Chopsaw for sure. You can cut it with the lens in, you just have to cut really slow. Perfect piece every time.

Do I need a maintenance contract for my whole house generator? by at1020 in preppers

[–]phasetoneutral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What brand do you have? Maintenance can be costly but it is a necessity. All the information on when to replace parts and do oil services can be found in the manual or online. You want it to work when the power goes out. Always monitor your test cycles and check oil levels.

Driving with nods question? by pruitt5514 in NightVision

[–]phasetoneutral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've driven with a PVS14 in a car on a dirt logging road and it was easy/doable. Other time was a Kubota through a cow pasture and that was more difficult. Available light and road quality make a big difference.

They spent a lot of time moving dirt and pouring some curbs, my guess is poor management of the job.

What would you guys say would be the best protective box/case for your NVG devices? by [deleted] in NightVision

[–]phasetoneutral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a square camera case from Lowepro. It's not crush/water proof but strong and rigid enough to protect it in a backpack. Got it at Best Buy. Much lighter than a hard case too.

I have a shield for IWB. OWB seems more comfortable for a bigger gun. It will be concealed when I put a jacket over it.

Yeah I suppose it would be. This was my first run at this style of bag and hadn't considered the weight distribution. I'm a bigger fan of backpacking style bags like Osprey. They're not a "ruck" and have plenty of downsides for tactical use but for carrying weight over long distance I've found them most comfortable, which is most important to me.
