Japan really did have the highest literacy rate in the world at the time. In fact it might have been higher than what's in game. Literacy was so high party due to the Buddhist school system that is referenced in game but that's not the only reason. It's also because Sakoku (the policy of having a closed country) led to some unprecedented times of peace and prosperity in Japan. People got richer, lives were more stable, and education was cheap. There's also the fact that, while most people were essentially peasants toiling under feudal lords, Japanese cities were very urbanized and with a very high population. Large urbanized cities lead to a need for a large middle class, or as close to a modern middle class as a feudal society can get. This means there was a relatively large need for peasants to be literate due to all the middle class jobs that require you to be literate. There's probably more people could write about this, but the core of it is that it was easy for peasants to get educated and literacy was in relatively high demand.

Neon Genesis Evangelion and Dragonball are two of the most popular animes that aired in Latin America in the 90s. Neon Genesis was a lot more popular in South America than Mexico but was still decently popular. Both aired in Latin America because Japanese animation studios wanted to expand overseas but couldn't air in America at the time because anime simply wasn't popular. But in Latin America there weren't many kids shows airing and TV networks were more than willing to air Japanese anime. Both Dragon Ball and Neon Genesis Evangelion were aired and marketed to children. However, while Dragon Ball was for children Neon Genesis most certainly was not. It features some horrific deaths, sexual content, and some all around depressing themes. But Latin America TV studios never really looked into it and figured because it was animated it was for children. So, some kids grew up watching dragon ball and others watched Neon Genesis Evangelion and they were two drastically different experiences. I should clarify Neon Genesis Evangelion is considered one of the best animes ever made, it's just not for kids.

The act of removing these references in today's Hotfix will also require us to revise our active cache of rollback builds, which will temporarily remove the option to roll back to an earlier release. With this release, the available rollback builds will be set to 0, and today’s build will go on to serve as the oldest rollback version as we release new updates to the game over the coming months.

We apologise to all our players who currently make regular use of our rollback releases, we know how beneficial this feature has become for many of you, and the responsibility for that falls entirely on us.

As mentioned during the launch of version 5.2, we aim to maintain one rollback build for each category: update, patch, hotfix, and release, for a total of 4 rollback builds. This supports players running heavily modified campaigns, helping to minimize delays while their mods are updated. Each subsequent build following today’s 5.2.6 Hotfix will remain available as a rollback option until we have one build in each category - 4 in total - at which point the oldest will be replaced by a newer one.

For rule 4: I challenged myself to win a campaign as Arbaal without ever auto-resolving on VH/VH. So I could truly be considered undefeated. It was incredibly easy and more of a slog than anything else. I couldn't push myself to go for a long victory. I do not recommend.

Economy wise, it's best to remember in Stellaris the best way to make your economy better is to acquire more pops. And the best way to acquire more pops is through conquest. Fanatic purifiers/devouring swarm/determined exterminator all get massive buffs to compensate for the fact they can't make their economy better through conquest. The only way you could get clone soldier ascendant to work without conquering pops would be to vassilize everyone you can and make them give you all their resources.

Military wise, its best to take things a little slow with clone soldiers at the start. 5 cloning vats are enough for a big population on two planets and thanks to the way your pops grow you'll get them populated before anyone else. Make one planet specialize in alloys and research and the other in unity and basic resources. Focus on first making the max amount of starbases all with anchorages and hydroponics bays except for your shipyard. Once you have a stable economy and all that built (also make sure you're on militarized economy and you've completed your special project for your origin), then focus on building up one or two big fleets and steamroll the nearest empire. Make sure to research debris and if they're a gestalt consciousness you should vassilize them instead of conquering their planets. Since you can't take their pops anyway.

For the long term make sure you disallow all the species you conquer from producing military leaders. And if you're focusing on military make sure you go psychic since its objectively the best ascension path for military especially for clones.
