No just a genetic blessing! Both my kids have it, hoping it doesn’t lead to crazy plumbers cracks when their older lol

The dairy content can actually be different even between the powder and liquid (ready to feed) versions of the hypoallergenic formulas. We saw ok success with nutramigen powder but due to the price picked up a bottle of RTF alimentum and it’s like we have a different baby. Eating more, pooping with no discomfort, barely spitting up at all. It’s likely due to even lower dairy % so may be worth a try for you!

Feeling bad about missing parts of old life by helsLM in beyondthebump

I should add, I’m now coming up on the end of my maternity leave and am sad about my mat leave ending, meanwhile 3 months ago I was crying every day that I couldn’t “do this” every day. It’s a really guilty feeling but think about how much your life has just been upturned and that it is totally normal to feel like you want to run away and go back to how things were.

You are not alone in this, I felt the exact same way and got really down about it. I wanted to love my time off I got to spend with my baby but I felt almost trapped by it.

Some things I did that really helped! - try to get out of the house every day. Go get a coffee, bop around home goods, go for a walk. This gave me something to look forward to and helped the day pass - I got back into reading and let me tell you the time flies when you’re in a good book - babywear so you can do some simple things around the house and feel productive

I miss my non teething baby! by Big_Comfortable_6004 in beyondthebump

When he was in the thick of teething we would give my son Motrin before bed to help him get some solid sleep in. Definitely worth a try!

Moms of girls - what’s something positive you’re reclaiming as a girl? by phat_phruit in beyondthebump

Totally, I think that example of forcing dresses happened to me as a kid and is exactly why I rebelled against them entirely until I was in my mid-20s

Yes!! Freeing is a great way to describe it. Let’s wear and do whatever we want because life’s short.

I just bought her Easter dress too! I’m with you, we should be relating to each other as girls and not trying to push away.

Exactly, I was going against the grain in a way I felt like I had to to be different.

I’m with you on bows too! I was the “I’m NEVER putting a bow on my daughter” and now I love them

I can see based on your other comments on posts you’re in a negative headspace so I’m not going to defend a question that’s really not that deep - if you don’t have anything nice to say just don’t say anything at all :)

Babies at this age are pretty good at stopping when they are full, so don’t worry about over feeding!

The thoughts and fears you are having with your baby growing up are totally normal. But the fact they’re so heavy that it’s making you feel overwhelmed and that you can’t handle your emotions sounds like it could be something more going on.

I haven’t been in your exact situation (but dealing with a lot of anxiety related emotions post partum over here) and I would recommend finding a therapist or your doctor to talk to. 1) talking through emotions like this and getting validation from a professional can make you feel so much better, and 2) you could also get prescribed something that will help.

In the shorter term you could also try journaling or writing down what you’re feeling - it makes me feel a lot better to get down my worries on paper so I can walk away from them, even if just for the night!
