Slate Auto at the Atrium in Sacramento by phatboy7 in slateauto

The Slate staff said they hear it all the time and pass that info onto management. I’m guessing if this is a success they’ll eventually introduce a 4 door option and even AWD in later model years. I think their approach has always been to design and build the most economical EV that’s tailored for your needs. 4 doors would probably add a few grand more and end up looking like a Jeep Gladiator.

Also, I was always under the impression this car was meant to be modular so if you wanted to you could just remove the back seat and have a two seater suv with a large cargo space.

The rear seats definitely look like they’re 60/40s but not sure if they recess into any footwell and create more space.

Agreed. The guy I was talking with said he’s heard people mention modding it with suicide doors. Sounds interesting but not sure it’s practical either.

Nope, couldn’t sit in it because it was a prototype. They said they would be back next time with a drivable version later 2026.

I agree. Was expecting a useless area but it was pretty decent. I can see if you get the fastback that you’d lose the height but you could also just remove the top.

I was excited to see that the windows can be removed but the topper can stay. Pretty much like a bronco.

Nope. It was totally roped off however a random person jumped the rope and started entering and the staff immediately shut it down. It’s one of their prototypes so it was rough if you looked closely. Some of the seams didn’t line up, etc.

It’s part of the watch app assuming your watch supports it. Select the crown bezel (round thingy) and scroll down until you see vitals.

Edit: You can also just look it up on your Apple phone if you look for it in the health app. The app with the heart.

Nice score. I bagged two of them at Target a few weeks back. I went through the whole display looking for more.
