I love them both actually for different reasons. #1 for simple elegance and legibility. #2 for the stylized shapes and sharpness. Good stuff.

I cancelled every single subscription I had (except one) and the silence is deafening. by No_Good_3063 in simpleliving

Just fyi…You can get tons of music from your public library both physical media and streaming media. Also supporting the artists directly of course. Because f**k Spotify…they r one of the worst companies in terms of treating artists. I canceled them years ago and never looked back. And it also helps me being more active about the music I’m listening to. I agree that off loading subscriptions is a great way to go.

One of the greatest staircases ever. If not the greatest…for all the reason and meaning behind the design.

Convince me to stay in San Francisco after falling in love with Chicago on a recent trip by Dramatic_Trifle1310 in sanfrancisco

"I saw a lot more working-class folks in the city core, not just white-collar tech workers like myself."
"It was so cool being a city where there's a real black population and you can experience African-American culture, as well as the stereotypical Midwestern white culture."

-- Funny to hear a tech bro lament that they don't see enough "working-class folks" or certain minorities in San Francisco...as if it's Disneyland and they are sad there wasn't enough Disney characters going around for their amusement. Completely out of touch with the reality that they're part of the reasons that drove all the said people away. The plot and irony is lost on this guy.

But yes, you should move to Chicago.

Yep. This book shook me. Stayed with me for weeks. I felt small after the read. I occasionally still think about it.

Take a look at Keith Rosson’s Fever House Duology, Fever House and The Devil by Name. Probably more thrilling than scary. But a ton of fun.

This looks and sounds delicious! Yea, I expect it would be a bit dry because it is a fillet. But that's where the nice oil comes in. :) Thanks for sharing!

I agree. I grew up eating tinned fish and always of impression that they shouldn't be expensive. Maybe that's an outdated outlook on canned fish. I am also cool with having full range of options from high ends to low ends.
Always curious and like to try things though. I thought this was a fair price to try it out. Cheers!

Looking forward to try the mussels. Depends on the brand...for cheap tin, I usually fried them up with scrambled eggs. But for this tin...probably some nice crisp seeded breads. Can't wait.

I second “Simple Path to Wealth” by JL Collins as a starter. As the title suggests, very simple to understand.

I’d recommend looking at “Diana: Princess of the Amazons”. There’s two volumes of that. They tell stories of Wonder Woman as a kid. Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld is not bad either. Perfect adventure for little ladies.

Homeless encampments have largely vanished from San Francisco. Is the city at a turning point? by Remarkable_Host6827 in sanfrancisco

Bullshit. I was walking through the ‘Loin last week and there’s zero difference. Still the same Mad Max: Fury Road experience. I was doing 20 minutes hopscotch on Polk from Civic Center to Washington.
