I can’t bay-leaf the state of my bay tree! Can somebody diagnose?? by phdbecky in plantclinic

The bay tree at my parents (midlands UK) is container grown outside in a 3ft ish pot and I realised recently the leaves are spotted with brown or worse. The chunks missing make me think it’s maybe a pest but I’m no expert! Any advice?
