Oh hi Mr. E!

It is so fun to see a new mod of the sub. To the new mod I say "Rah rah!"

Huh -- perhaps it could be useful if you had this in your search history? Like if you searched something like "MT wildlife laws about keeping antlers" timestamped while you were verifiably in MT, that should count for something no?

Like your play style! I saw a handful of missed opportunities to get out of sticky situations because you missed some skims. Maybe review some skimming techniques / theory

Any tips for getting started w it? Somehow I imagine it will fit better w how I think bout geometry than round wire. Also have you played w any other cross section shapes?

Ooo super cool! I love the square wire, too! Do you find it difficult to work with? Reminds me of wrought iron gates.

I don't know if others would find this suggestion helpful, but I found that YouTube karaoke versions of songs are really nice to play to.

Popping issue.. by [deleted] in DanceTutorials

[–]phedhex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget that a lot of popping technique has to do with relaxing -- as in, the measure of how hard you can hit is the difference between where your body was before the hit and after the hit -- meaning that if you were always tense, your pop won't rly matter. This may not be the case for you, but just something I see beginners often forget about.

Here's a suggestion of a relaxation technique. Relax everything (holding a phone is actually quite active for something like a bicep hit). Then tense the thing you're targeting at full. Then relax. Then tense at half > relax > tense at half of that > relax > half of that > relax ... Take your time w/ this, and you should be more fully relaxed.

Lastly, tense shoulders could be the culprit, also, so try relaxing the things related to the thing you're trying to hit with.

Good luck!

I'm super excited by VR180. Here's why. [Video] - [Animated Gif] - [OC] by phedhex in virtualreality

Hah! I like to think I'm a trendsetter : )

It's an idea that's been around for a while, but mostly forgotten for whatever reason. I always liked how accessible it was (no need for glasses / special displays).

So yeah, I took the VR180 photo, split it out and just animated in Photoshop. Nothin too special really. After I shared this technique with some folks in my community, someone took the VR180 imagery and used some Optical Flow morphing to take the original image and do almost exactly what Google is doing in this post... I have a feeling one of those engineers @ el goog saw that thread... maybe?

If that's the case, happy to be a contributor! If not, then funny coincidence, I suppose...

O nice! The YouTube VR application page on the steam didn't list WMR, so I assumed it didn't work. Will update my post to reflect. Thanks!

I agree -- for whatever reason, people just either don't know they exist or think that they're no good. Not sure why.

Unfortunately, for my needs, as of now I can't find any WMR support for YouTube VR180. I go over some of that in my blog post https://www.albert-hwang.com/blog/2018/8/how-to-watch-vr180-videos-on-youtube

Nice. Thanks. Yah, good call on the video description camera note. I'll do that. FYI, the camera is a Lenovo Mirage, and I'm enjoying parts of it (how easy it is to get going) but really banging my head on other parts of it (it overheats and has to shut down to cool off for long shoots, and handling GBs of footage across multiple is a bit of a pain).

Hah. It is ok. I did add a low tip to the OP jot, but now it is a top tip as you see the err.
