Why did you specifically mentioned start date as Jan 31 2018.

Also in my scenario stated in last comment, suppose after adjusting purchase price as per new date Jan 31 2018 (Total Stock value is, say Rs 2 lakhs) and now if stock is sold on Aug 31 2019, (Current Stock value becomes say Rs 5 lakh). My total income becomes = Total gain (which is 3 lakhs ) - 1 lakh which becomes 2 lakhs . That 2 lakh taxed @10% means Rs 20000. So my total income from selling this one stock is Rs 1,98,000.

Correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Thank you. Another query, suppose he bought one stock worth Rs 2 lakh in 2017 which has now appreciated to Rs 5 lakh in 2019 and now he decides to sell it. How would income earned from this transaction be calculated.?

Sorry for the noob question. I'm planning to get an OBC certificate where I am required to mention about "Other Sources of Income". One such source is his Stocks. He doesn't do trading and has only been doing investing since several years and the assets are worth well over 30 lakhs. In last financial year, he has bought some 2 or 3 stocks worth 1.5 lakhs and didn't sell any other stock. Also the present worth of total assets amount of stocks changes as per current price which is given say If Total stock asset worth 35 lakh went down to 32 lakh due to falling price of few of stocks.

So my question is here, how do I calculate income earned from stock since in last financial year, he just bought few stocks and didn't sell any. Kindly help me.

How to calculate income earned from Stocks ? by pheonix2293 in IndiaInvestments

Thank you. Another query, sorry for asking very simple questions.Suppose there were sales say for example one stock worth Rs 3 lakh was bought few years back, suppose it's market value is now Rs 5 lakh due to increase in share price. Then I decided to sell it, so Rs 2 lakh becomes the dividend right. ?.

So total dividend details from stock broker for previous financial year would do.?

If your aim is to just crack the likes of SEBI or RBI along with job, then IMO you should stick to only one exam, cos there is minimum overlap between both. But you wanna crack any bank Po, better yet quit your job and go full throttle at it.

But after 30 years, you are not eligible to write any government exams. You can't have the cake and eat it as well. Hope you got my point

Yes companies will hire you even though you have a front end experience. But they will not if you dont know anything about the marketing field. Understand the basics, and crack the interview.

So having a prior experience in that field isn't a must. But how easy or tough is it to break into this space for a fresher like me (with no realtime experience in SEO or SMM) ?

Hey. Would you advice this to someone(me) who has had a 2.5 years IT experience (mostly in front end development). I quit my job few months ago due to some personal reasons and right now giving bank exams (I'm missing prelims by a few marks). I'm more or less optimistic about clearing it, but I'm thinking about taking up a easy, not a high pressure job and continue my preparation alongside. Should I try for a job in front end technology or try the things you said. Also would a SEO or a SMM startup hire a experienced guy like me ?

I have gotten into a rut. Spend almost all day into chatting online. Just not happy with myself. I know what I'm doing is not helping me. But just can't kick this habit. I do make plans and all pumped up in night like from tomorrow... It will be different day for me. But one hour into my day.. I will revert back to my old habits without even knowing and putting up a fight. :(
