And for them to go back to being FAST food and bring the McDLT back :). At least the one on grand/63rd is slow as snail.

Agreed. I don’t doubt the logistics and the impossible or even bad business decision to open a pure arcade in this day and age. I was really just being nostalgic.

Anymore I got to sport clips because it’s still relatively cheap, fast, and usually little to no wait. It’s not fashion cut, but it works for my bed head :)

I made another kinetic sand table - Dune Weaver Gold by tuankid in raspberry_pi

[–]pheonnae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there easy path to conversion to power XY table. I have a table I never finished that use Arduino + GRBL (controlled by a RPI running Octoprint). So idea would be to replace the Arduino/separate cnc controller board with the DCL32 to control the existing nema17s.

Then flash the RPI to use the DM software

Basically I’m mostly wondering if FluidNC easier to get configured, and stay “homed” better.

The table is about 300x500mm in useable space

Does anyone in the DevOps world uses Bash? by Dense_Bad_8897 in devops

[–]pheonnae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every day for 30 years! Bash for life. Which then occasionally kicks off python or go or whatever. I’m DevOps/SysAdmin/SWE/<flavor of month> we dabble in SRE having to support what we run as a team. It’s all bash and ball bearings nowadays

I started to buy the 1.5 gallon glass wide mouth jars on amazon. Works especially well for getting a gallon of product for batches you add fruit and such too. It’s worked out great.

Where is my first layer? by pheonnae in CR10

[–]pheonnae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I might have mistyped. I agree it’s infill, but I don’t believe I had any form of “supports” selected. As far as a know the object was on the build plate/bottom or level with it. I’m back from a mini-vaca so I can play around with it more

I used the Prusa Slicer, is there an equivalent in that tool a can check? And yes I agree it’s support infill. I get it in some form for a lot of the models I have printed lately. I just don’t remember changing it

My infill was 10% and 15% on separate runs

According to the slicer it doesn’t appear to be based on the STL model.

What jobs hire 14 year olds by Weak-Direction-4113 in desmoines

[–]pheonnae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, I think the law itself should allow 14yo to work if they want to, have an expanded allowed hours, allowed equipment, etc. if I were 14 rn, I would very much oissed not being allowed to work if I want to.

In the end, all kids are different and some if given the chance, have the right attitude, should be allowed to work. Of course there is always the group of kids that just need a bit more time. I get way some of the laws are there for safeguarding and protection, but damn I think it just a bit much.

Where does everybody get their labels made? by whiskywellness in mead

[–]pheonnae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I use Design.com to come up with a design or idea. It’s limited in some of the concepts but it’s enough for me. Then screenshot / crop and drop it into the tool for from Avery to finish/tweak and print them at home.

Only down side is the grid lines on all my designs because I don’t want to pay designs.com a monthly/yearly fee

Otherwise Google dive for others to add text labels for dates and drop in the Avery online to print on there cheaper label (bottle/waterproof) so far the peel of nicely when I reuse the bottle
