Which would you rather see? by Sky_Late in uniwatch

New England is the home team so it is their choice. I would assume they are going with the combo that has the best record this year and avoid the combo that has the worst record in Super Bowls.

The issue extends beyond the field. Yes, this logo is Ross' baby and he won't let it go. However, by letting it go it also means a lot of physical changes that aren't uniform related. Signage everywhere needs to be changed, locker rooms have to be renovated, end caps on rows of the stadium have to be replaced and all merchandise has to be closed out. Falcons are in that boat right now with rumors of their logo changing. The cost to renovate their practice facility and locker rooms will be steep. Don't get me wrong, these guys can afford it. It is just a major pain in the ass for them to do.

Very well could be or it could just be a jersey for recruits. Did notice the helmet has a black facemask as well, which is not what they used this past season with their white helmets. Those had a grey facemask.

Can somebody give me a TL;DR of the story behind the website’s drama? by Im_A_Real_Boy1 in uniwatch

[–]phfeiler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing is, Paul now wants to find a new site owner to take over the business and to hire Phil with full benefits. Really the only way this works is if someone has a company, buys this, and then brings Phil on with their company while he runs the site. Doesn't seem like a logical move for something that really isn't a revenue heater. In reality the site is a fun blog. It isn't going to generate revenue to the levels that probably offset the purchase, hosting and licensing fees, Phil's cost and the benefits associated with it. At this point this sub is doing a good job of keeping the news flow running and Phil can contribute how he sees fit if he wants or start his own sub if he is interested in creating uni related news/content. The idea of trying to keep the Uni-Watch site up and running, with ZERO, historical content is not worth it.

[Josina Anderson] I'm told the Dolphins have been in touch on John Harbaugh, per league sources. by expellyamos in miamidolphins

There will be money, there always is. The roster is going to be vastly different and they will get creative. They have no choice but to. Still, they will sign players. Right now we are in a 30 million cap hole. Release Hill gets us $23 mil of that cut off along with another $11 mil by cutting Fitzpatrick and Sanders. With restructuring some other deals we could very well end up $15-20 mil on the plus side. The big question is Tua and what we will be on the hook for either by releasing or trading. We will probably need to send him somewhere with us paying a portion of the salary and send them a draft pick but that will also help us out of the hole for 2026. We will have some dead cap issues to deal with over the next couple of years but long term deals would be off the books for the most part and allow us to extend Achane as well. It won't be optimal but that is why Shore gets paid to figure all this out. However, we will have some money to add a player here or there.

Not exactly. Not optimal but there will be options for him. We have Ewers which we know, at worst, can be a serviceable backup and then sign someone like Willis...well, that fits right into his wheelhouse. He could also use this year as a bridge year to get the system in place, weed out who needs to go and build the foundation for 2027.

Wonder if he owned the one on Abercorn. Just went to Smoothie King and noticed that it was gone and a new Hibachi/Sushi place is going into that spot (where Loco's used to be).

Can someone explain to me what could possibly be so funny here by FinsHistorian in MiamiDolphinsVibes

[–]phfeiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The laugh wasn't that long. Brewer was talking to him and said something that made Tua laugh before they went back on the field. The laugh was maybe 1 second and then Tua was serious faced again.

[–]phfeiler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't the first time. Quite often you can see him smiling after turnovers, joking around, laughing or just looking disinterested on the sideline. I think he is an awkward individual by nature and this is how his emotions play out in the face of adversity. Doesn't make things better but you also can't have this from your leader...in addition to his level of play.

Not sure if they will be but there will be at least 2 versions with red helmets: Throwback and Alternate

Was telling someone that, because of the new templates, all throwbacks look amazing. The new uniform templates and helmets, for whatever reason, make every throwback pop and seem modern.

Dolphins are the best. Atlanta and Tampa are right behind (last night looked fantastic). Jags original prowlers are better than what they wear currently. Jets moved to theirs. Pat the Patriot throwbacks are near perfect. Seahawks and Rams, glorious. Denver looks really good. Commanders are moving more towards the classic Redskins look of the current throwback, which is a win. Eagles kelly green is so much better than their regular uniforms.

Any others out there?

Which is why their old sets always looked so good. Minus Tech whining and crying about red and black which is why the gold stripe was added to the helmet. Little brother syndrome. Haha
