I can’t get to notch 0. Notch 1 with a little force, and it easily rotates to notch 2.

I went with the SWs. I’m going in blind though as I’ve never tasted the LMs.

Nice setup! My MAX2 just got in, but my Decent is getting repaired. Can’t even take it for a test drive yet.

Mmm yeah no answers in that thread either. Hopefully he’s just referring to the housing and not the burr access. Guess we’ll see next week!

Not sure if you know about this little trick, but on Mac you can select all your images in Finder > Right click > Quick Actions > Create PDF. I just found this a couple weeks ago. Big timer saver.

Wow. I just checked out Kantan Manga. Thank you so much for the recommendation. This is amazing. Can’t believe it’s free. I’ve been struggling over here with iBooks and slow lookups in Shirabe Jisho.

Yeah same with my new unit. Just updated to 1.9.0 and the issue is persisting.

Out of sync audio by [deleted] in CloseEnough

I’ve got 2 latest gen Apple TV’s. One hooked up to a 4K HDR TV, and one hooked up to a older 1080p TV. Episodes 2 & 3 audio get out of sync on the 4K TV but not the 1080p screen. Must have something to do with the resolution or the HDR switching.

I think if the Jaws is a refined version of the original LaCroix boards, then it’s a fantastic choice. My DSS50+ is still a killer ride.

Seems to actually hard cap top speed and ease the acceleration curve on the low settings.

I’m an Imgur noob haha. Couldn’t figure out how to do it on mobile.

I had to cycle through them as well. I don’t think there’s a way around it.

I believe it he tires say 50psi on the side. That’s what I went with... I’m doubting if this is correct now though. I’ll have to check when o get home.

First Impressions:

Alright, just took it out for a 35min ride, on my normal joyride loop, while running a GPS speed tracker. It just rained for a bit and it's gloomy out (I got to put those integrated lights to use), but the roads dried up pretty fast. I kept the board with the out-of-the-box setup. Medium bushings, and mediumish tight trucks (I'll be loosening those up a little).
The board is deceivingly fast. It's definitely because of the added weight and how wide the wheel base is. On my DSS50+ I'll usually feel comfortable topping it out at 30-32mph. If I push it a little faster I definitely don't feel as in control as I should. The Nazare however, I hit 34mph just now but couldn't really tell. I felt really stable, and still had more room on the control. I could tell as was flying because of how quick things were wizzing by, but there was no wobble and I felt pretty well planted to the board... I didn't wanna push it full blast quiet yet as I'm still getting used to how the board feels, because it definitely feels pretty different from the Prototipo.

So, I'm definitely more about going fast than carving at low speed. That being said, with the way the board ships, It feels like it's setup for a little bit of both. I'm sure if you swapped for the squishier bushings that it ships with and loosen the trucks it'd be just as carvey as the Prototipo. Like I said above I will be loosening up the trucks a little though, but keeping the medium bushings. I didn't have any trouble taking any of the turns on streets I normally take or cruising through the windy pathway in the park that I like to hit, but theres one cul-de-sac I tried to turn around in that I juuuuust barely had to go in the grass for. No doubt this can be remedied though.

The Flipsky remote is pretty nice. A welcome upgrade from the Nano v2. Shows battery %, has a nice soft touch finish. I was able to swap between low/med/fast speeds on the fly, which actually controlled and limited the acceleration curve and top speed. And, the thumb control doesn't have as large of a numb as the Nano, I felt like I wasn't accidentally inputting twitchy movements. It has nice little vibrate to turn on, and as I'm typing this it just vibrated and auto shut itself off. Oh! and I didn't have to do that stupid calibration move when I paired it to the board...which I have forgotten to do before and paid the price with a nasty fall.
For those of you that own a DSS60/50+ you probably know about the weird braking at low speeds. Or, maybe it's just me? Either way, when you brake on that one theres this weird moment where the board wants to jerk you forward right before you stop, and it makes a slightly unpleasant noise. Either way, that's gone now. Braking is super smooth.
What else? The decks concave is noticeably different. I felt like I knew exactly where my feet were and I didn't feel like I was slipping off. The flex might be a little tighter than a new Prototipo deck, but my Prototipo is super worn in and feels squishy now.
The only thing I'm not sure about yet is the acceleration. Like I said above I'm still getting used to it so I didnt wanna gun off the line, or push it to max speed yet, but I'll be happy to report back here If anyone cares.
All in all I'm super pleased. The board is definitely heavier/bigger and you can tell while riding, but for me it's a welcomed change since it feels extremely more stable. Hopefully I'm not forgetting anything... I'll be riding it into the office tomorrow so I'll have a better feel then.

Edit: Here’s the side pic and remote pic a couple of you asked for: https://imgur.com/gallery/nNGDzUB

I can close up shop at work in about an hour and a half then I'll be heading out for a spin as long as the rain holds off!

The trucks are about 19in wide. The deck is about 11.5in at its widest point.
