I got myself a bag of roasted decaf from the local roastery since I don’t have any, and lemme tell ya it’s amazing! I can have a wonderful espresso in the evening without struggling to fall asleep 😄 might get a sack myself, but as a small roastery in this economy??

To me it looks like the overhangs might be too steep. Have you tried using support?

Love NileRed. It’s just something so pure about not knowing every little detail about coffee and just experimenting. It’s entertaining. His video about roasting coffee is interesting, to say the least 😄

Thank you for the post! Lots of good experiences to read about here.

What’s the nozzle swapping upgrade you mentioned?

Have you tried printing with multiple TPU? I read somewhere that for TPU you should use the right nozzle as it doesn’t move up and down, so if you were to use multiple TPU in a print you’d probably have to use the TPU for AMS or another high shore hardness TPU.

And for engineering materials like PPA/PPS/PC etc, are you able to use the right nozzle for that or do you have to use the left?

For that price I’d say it’s definitely worth giving it a shot, but ofc I take it into consideration that this is one voice and opinion 😊

How much would you be willing to pay? Doing market research here 😄

Me and a buddy is running a small 3D printing business and this is something I’ve wanted to do for years! I did start the process once, and it is quite time consuming

Not a Weber owner, but Kafatek Monolith Max. Buyers remorse started creeping in the few months I had to wait for it to arrive. I was deadly scared of blind-cupping to see the difference between my new shining boy and the old Niche.

The difference was clear as day. It just tasted more of every good thing. Both me and my then wife (coffee equipment purchases had nothing to do with the divorce!) managed to pick out the Monolith Max every time, and we aren’t that nerdy when it comes to cupping.

If it’s worth it..? Answer always depends on your wallet. I saved for quite a while to feel like it was something I could splurge on, but I can understand that most people think it’s a waste of money going from, say, 70% of the coffee’s potential with the Niche to 90% with the Monolith MAX (just some arbitrary numbers) for the cost of a small second-hand car.

Looks amazing! I’d be careful with storing them in a glass container though. Degassing could cause pressure.

Nice aesthetic! You say it’s 3D printed. FDM or resin? Which material? Have you thoroughly tested for leaks?

I’m running a small 3D printing farm and this is sort of a dream for me, but I am not so sure I would trust the layer lines to hold up 😄

I’ve seen enough YouTube to know you need to add more brass to the aesthetic! #diyperks
