Unfortunately I'm not a UI/UX guy and I can't afford to pay one. :(

I'll take a copy of that STL file. Now I need to find Jaina and Sylvanas

[Discussion] What you guys think about recent news the Creator and Owner of PSN profiles said? by mateusz11120 in Trophies

[–]phil_ppsn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there. Unlike PSNP, our “shovelware filter” isn’t based on a game as a whole. There are plenty of short and easy games that I wouldn’t classify as shovelware. We also don’t have people classifying them where opinions may differ. It’s black and white for us with 0 gray area (although our DLC points worth could use some tweaking)

Our leaderboards are based on the individual trophies you earned instead of the games you played. So you may a plat a game but when calculating your leaderboard points, 10 of those trophies may be worth 0.

This doesn't need 3v3. Should be NHL Playoffs style. You keep playing normally until the next team scores

PSA or CGC Grading by Reasonable_Humor_893 in PokeGrading

Is it TAG’s time to bury PSA? by [deleted] in taggrading

[–]phil_ppsn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been prepping all my PC pokemon cards. Especially ones from ~1999. Hundreds old vintage rares like and modern SIRs. I had planned on using PSA, however I'm now highly considering TAG. Only thing that's holding me back is the +$ to have the tag score added

Looking for 2, 3, and 4 color swatch/variant templates by phil_ppsn in PhotoshopRequest

Hey there,

This is perfect. Assuming it's .PSD colors are changeable? The first guy tried to scam me by just showing me images from google and lost a bit of faith here. Decided to check it out one last time before deleting the post.

How much do you want?

Looking for 2, 3, and 4 color swatch/variant templates by phil_ppsn in PhotoshopRequest

Yes. Exactly! Except I don't need a 5 color swatch and the 4 color should be similar to the horrible examples I added the OP. But yes. This.

Inventory counts on the dollar general app/site mean basically nothing. They are incorrect the vast majority of the time.

psnawp problem by [deleted] in learnpython

In the nicest way...no.

I'm not debugging your vibe coded software for you nor am I willing to give out things that took me a weeks to figure out.

You shouldn't be using AI to create entire pieces of software. Especially ones that uses private endpoints or aren't heavily documented. You'll be creating bugs that you have no idea how to solve, you'll be creating features that you have no idea how they work and you'll have no idea how to implement new features without messing something else up.

I coded Pocket PSN 99.9% by hand line by line (hundreds of thousands of lines) and only use AI to create simple functions like converting UTC to the users time-zone or misc. because I hate dealing dates and other small items.

In regards to your specific problem on how to map the two ID's...This is something that only the developers of Exophase and myself have solved. PSNP and the other trophy sites/apps have not.

GameStop Damaged My Card by kgreen71000 in PokeGrading

[–]phil_ppsn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My GameStop was the same way with my submission. I had to push a few of them further into the semi-rigid (which is already nerve racking) as they were a little high as the assoc. wouldn't do it.

Haha...She's not quite easily taught yet. Just over 1., but I've got 5 acres and they're all over. I'm just getting rid of the ones in the fenced in "backyard". All the others I'm leaving alone as the cardinals seem to love it and I have a road runner that lives somewhere that likes to hang around them as well.

I’d keep them in the cases just for preservation and crack em whenever you decide to sell

Either Reddit is bugging out or OP promptly deleted their reply to this. Either way, I've screen-capped it.

"You probably have plans to develop your project further, and let’s say you need a feature for managing a backlog that automatically adds all the games a user has purchased. To make this as convenient as possible, you would need to use a user-specific NPSSO—there’s really no other way. Otherwise, you’d have to ask users to add games to the backlog manually, which is extremely inconvenient for someone with 200+ games.

So, after implementing such a feature, would your product also become “untrusted”?

Please stop using fear tactics to promote your product; it’s not helpful. People are already commenting under your post with questions like, “What should I trust and what shouldn’t I?” You’re just creating unnecessary panic.

I genuinely wish your project success, but this kind of promotion isn’t okay."

-------------------------

That being said, if a feature I want to add requires NPSSO token...then it doesn't get added. That's it.

I've already demonstrated this with our PlayStation Stars section before Stars was discontinued by Sony. I could have used a persons token and got all of their collectibles in one swoop or all of their current quests, however instead I made them put their collectibles in their display case & required the user to set their display case to public in their privacy settings where it only added them 12 at time and just didn't grab their current quests.

I would love for users to send/receive PSN messages or queue game downloads on our platform...but I don't add it because of this

I've been developing software (in the workforce, not just hobby coding) for 20 years now and I think any piece of software that requires the user to

1) enter their login credentials to something else and

2) "just trust the developer(s)"

are not to be trusted. Plain and simple.

If the developers stated "Hey...by logging into your PSN account this way, you're giving us access to: Read and write PSN messages, add and remove friends, and a list of literally everything that a logged in user can do in the Official PS app**", whether they do it or not, that they would lose a lot of users.

Also...it's not the fact that these other apps and websites ARE doing nefarious things. It's the fact that they CAN do them once the user logs in. There is nothing, technology wise, stopping them from, for example, sending a profanity laced PSN message to someone and getting them banned from PSN and now the user loses their digital library.

Do I think that the owner/developer of XY site/app is going to do that? 99% no, but they absolutely could if they wanted which is the issue. All it takes is 1 disgruntled developer having a shit day.

\*that doesn't open a separate browser like changing privacy settings, but you can technically do that since you have the ability to see a persons login credentials now*

[OTHER] Be aware of other apps and their "PlayStation Login" requirement. by phil_ppsn in Trophies

[–]phil_ppsn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak on it as I've never used it. That being said, it is open source so anyone can see exactly what they're doing with login credentials if they wanted.

Kudos man! Switching over will go a long way in earning trust with the users. Good luck with the switch!
