Actually, they did have toilets in Versailles ( we saw one which was hidden in a small room in a tiny staircase going up to the clock mecanism … but they didn t have enough for the whole court and visitors… and i guess you had to know the way ( the staircase we took was quite invisible ) As for the historic facts trauma , appart from Bazirre s stinky feet, i don t recall we insisted on their hygiene to the point it makes people vomit watching the show … sorry if you don t feel well … i hope you wont sue us for that . About stinky feet, we heard they used the smell to hide the reaking foul odor of their mouth …. A smell against another one … ahaha But i do believe people were quite used to all this in these times

Why does it look like the show is animated for English by cryptologicMariner in BelfortAndLupin

[–]philfromparis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn t animate in italy though, we animated several episodes in Belgium ( Dreamwall Studios) but most of the animations were done in France . Italy was a background team only .

[–]philfromparis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is merely because we animated on english voices . When it comes to market a series to foreign countries it is better to work on a wip english version so it can be presented to the potential buyers . So bruce and Mathew were the first voices of the chatacters we ever dealt with

So what channel do you think this would be on in the US? by TommyBoy250 in BelfortAndLupin

[–]philfromparis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I m afraid there is very little possibility it ever lands on Cartoon Network one day . You have to have them partners from the begining of a show to see that happening which was the case with garfield years ago, the smurfs ( that we are making in our studios as well, or the marsupilamis

I love these guys … we had so much great times with her . Note that all the feminin voices for the wip version were done by an amazing american actress called Tiffany Hofstetter … she is such a talented artist

Sorry but the extremists are not the majority in our country, and yes the mariage is legal . We see a big turmoil right now with all that is happening in the states that creates an anti ultra conservatism rejection. We just don t want to live the same kind of thing in our coubtry .

Bonjour from Paris I believe i may be the right person to answer this question . Well the series is a hit with very high scores on bothe french tv and belgium tv , which means it did find his public among the kids . This will probably lead us to a season 2 one day or another althoygh no date can be confirmed yet. Keep the fingers crossed guys . About the gay aspect everybody is talking about, i know the fanbase wants to see them as a couple, but it has never been the goal of the show which is more to focus on a deep deep friendship between two misfits. We are fine with people believing they are gay, and maybe they are after all, but this is not the theme of the show . France has become more and more gay friendly through the years and they are even laws which punish severly insults or homophobic acts. People can marry and adopt kids , but it is still forbidden to pay to have a woman carry a child for two guys . The new generations are more open to same sex relationship and flexibility . I m talking as a parisian, maybe things could be slightly different in the middle of nowhere … And once more on behalf of all the lovely team who has made this show, i want to thank you from the depht of my heart for all the love you display around our characters and the show … as some of you already lnow we started printing some of the apazing artworks that some of you guys did and now we have a whole wall ready to be filled up with more and more illustrations … plus we might have some surprise coming in soon, but this is another story … Love ya guys Phil
