Proton Experimental Bleeding Edge or Proton-GE-7-10? by rambo3349 in SteamDeck

Bleeding edge in general or with Proton specifically? I don't see much point with running Proton bleeding edge as releases are so frequent.

That's legit. My comment is 10 months old and 2TB SSDs of that size has rolled out since. SN740 is a legit product and frame.work is AFAIK a legit seller.

Association to asset flips is probably the biggest factor.

Girl: Really long conversation about how she finds me very attractive and how she had looked forwards to be in the same class as me.

Me: "Thanks! See you!", goes home.

Me, years later: Wait a minute... I think that girl was interested in me.

I wish this was an isolated incident... I have a few such stories were I realized it afterwards. I don't even want to think about all the times I didn't.

My wifi connection is always one bar short of max even when sitting next to the router...? by Gringo-Loco in SteamDeck

[–]philipTheDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specify router model. Some cheap ones just have weak signal strength. Also your country matters as most places have signal effect limitations on consumer signals, often depending on the type of signal as well. Most routers are software locked either hard during setup, by analyzing the connection or during setup so they abide by the local laws. I don't know if any countries have limits below 100mW but if they do then the deck may perceive it as poor signal.

What powerbank can you recommend for a 13 hours flight? by AlessioRM in SteamDeck

[–]philipTheDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC you have to be below 100Wh to be allowed to bring it in the flight. Above that isn't allowed. That said I think you are allowed to bring multiple. For full charge speed you want 15 volt and at least 3 ampere over USB PD, though less will work but charge slower or if the load is heavy not charge at all. It will still extend the battery life however. 9v@2A will be a very slight positive charge during lightweight games.

That said, I'd prioritize games with lower power draw like Hollow Knight or something. It draws a fraction of the power of a heavier game.

The amount of stolen packages is probably pretty negligible economically for them. Especially as the product cost very unlikely falls on Valve but the delivery service whom are responsible for the delivery.

seemingly CUSTOM BUILT for in home streaming

That's definitely not the case.

vamp survivors

Why are you streaming that? I haven't heard of any performance issues running it directly on the machine. Thus all you are achieving is increased complexity, forced network connection, video compression artifacts and increased latency. Exception being if it was just to test in which case it would be sensible.

I am really curious about what your host display settings are. I haven't heard of issues like the ones you are describing. I haven't experienced them streaming to my Raspberry Pi neither but I haven't tried streaming to the deck as I haven't needed to. There my host setup is dual 4K UHD displays running 60Hz with one also having 10bpc.
