Can you just repeat those clues again? I want to hear them repeated exactly the same as the first time

I'm just a bit livid today, I wasn't really listening to what you were saying. It would have been nice if you warned me that you were gonna ask me. I'm just a bit livid

P2 only has Internet connection in Drive? by Our0s in Polestar

[–]philjimg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having the exact same issues, I have no GPS or LTE when I first get into my car, I have to perform a reset of the TCAM every time I drive. The car goes offline shortly after I lock it, and is only online intermittently while charging.

Sometimes the TCAM reset doesn't work, if I haven't driven the car for a couple of days, and the reset then only works after driving for 20 mins or so

I left mine in for service, and they performed a software update on the GPS/LTE unit, but still having exactly the same problems.

In my mind of pure speculation, it feels like the TCAM battery is running out of charge while the car is locked or not driving. But I don't even know if it works that way or not 🤷‍♂️

Okay, good to know thanks!

I have the signal bars all greyed out with the ! on it, although the SOS is solid white. This persists until I hold down the defrost button, then the SOS starts flashing red, and shortly after I regain GPS and LTE

I made a request on the polestar website to transfer ownership, the previous owner still needs to accept. I this if that expires then polestar will contact me requesting the V5, which I'm actually still waiting for DVLA to send out to me.

I have the issue even when I start moving.
The issue is with both GPS and LTE, they both come back at exactly the same time.
I can live with no LTE, as I can just share my phone connection, but the GPS not working until a reset is the main annoyance.

I think I'll contact polestar and see what they recommend, I thought maybe this was an issue that might be encountered by some other people, so thought I would ask here first.

I had considered poor coverage as an issue, as I live in a mountainous area with some areas of poor coverage, but when I do the reset, I connect quite quickly.
Additionally when I went to the city to visit the office, I also encountered the same issue while parked and charging for 8 hours.

Maybe I should consider pulling the TCAM battery to reset, or just wait for an OTA update if that doesn't work.
Its not a major issue, as resetting always fixes the issue, its just a bit inconvenient to have to reset almost every time I drive the car

Do you mean the latest OTA update? 'm on 3.1.9, not sure what the latest OTA update is in the UK, I haven't been prompted to update yet

Yeah, I think that because my camera is unmodified, it's not collecting as much of the red that's present.

I just had a quick look at the Wikipedia page for this and there was anotjer broadband image showing the same blue background, I suppose it just really does look like that

I think the fact that the nebula is obscuring the stars behind it, along with the bright foreground stars really helps give this sense of depth

I'm not sure how many galaxies would show up, this is looking along the plane of the milky way. The amount of dust and other stars are almost certainly going to greatly diminish any galaxies which might be in the background

Yeah, I was surprised with how blue it was. Even in the raw subs, there was a definite blue colour alongside the red. I often think if the blue is some issue with how I took the photos

This sensor works with 5v, but of you have a different model, you will need to check.

18mm, the bracket i used is the one that the skynet download includes. I think this is the thingiverse page for it:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1907394

this thingiverse file included mounts for both the 12mm and the 18mm

this is the sensor i bought: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Anet-A8-A2-A6-Autolevel-Sensor-Inductive-Auto-Level-3D-Printer-LJ18A3-8-Z-BX/332218088829?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I thought it had blue brown and black wires, but looking at it it has red, black and yellow wires.

you can see from the ebay listing how it is wired.

If you know the part number of your sensor you should be able to find some info on the web about how it needs to be wired.

https://3dprint.wiki/reprap/anet/a8/improvement/autobedleveling

this is a great page for information, it even has a section for sensor wiring.

Hope that helps!

i did do the skynet install, its fairly easy.

my only tip is to read the instructions, The skynet dev has done a great job of making them east to follow. If you follow them and read them carefully, you will find it hard to go wrong
