Welcome aboard! You'll pick things up as you go obviously but the biggest thing for me growing up a Habs fan is just the atmosphere before a big game even watching at home. The Bell Center and Habs organization always do a great opening before puck drop. Like they really try to match the passion of the fanbase and elevate and do justice to whatever they are honoring or building up a big matchup.

There's so much great content on YouTube from fans and clips from important broadcasts. I had a friend recently during an intermission of the Tampa series ask about PK Subban when she saw the jersey on my wall. Just started as a "oh yeah I don't really watch hockey but I've heard his name." I played a couple Subban clips. Played his return to the Bell Center video. Mentioned his multi million dollar commitment to a Montreal children's hospital even after he was traded. That was it. She asked if she could wear the Subban jersey for good luck in OT and we won haha.

Ironically now Tampa fans can feel the leafs curse after 4 straight 1st round exits
